Default Son's Traxxas Slash Not Running - Please Help!

My son received a Traxxas Slash model 58034 for Xmas. He was using it a couple a days ago and he said it just stopped. So he recharged the battery thinking it may be that and replaced the batteries in the remote. Still not working. It does respond to the turning signal....so when you turn the wheel the wheels do turn but when the accelerator is pushed the truck does not go anywhere....no response at all. He did said the motor was really hot...not sure if it over heated....I live in AZ and it was about 116 or so when he was using it.

Not sure what it can be....any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Hmm, it could very well be the motor overheated or died. Those Titans are prone to dying sometimes. Is there any lights on the ESC?

ok try this
on the motor there are 2 wires follow them to the ESC.
There should be 2 silicone feeling clear connectors with metal pins inside pull them apart

take the 2 motor wires that you just disconnected, and connect them straight to a battery
If the motor spins it is good, if it doesn't the motor is dead
