Slash vs Rustler vs Rc10t4.1
So I totalled out my stampede, and am looking at getting a stadium truck instead. I've driven the stampede and liked it, but want something with a lower center of gravity. It's going to be a basher for sure, driving on a dirt road or dirt parking lot, some grass, and maybe the clay track on Sunday electric fun day
I also want it to be waterproof as I love jumping my ditch. I also want to try to keep up with my EMAXX when the girlfriend is running it. Easy speed wise, but she drives it on every terrain and in water
I have been thinking about getting a "pre-roller" rustler off ebay. I think that would be my cheapest option by using parts from the stampede.
However there is a t4.1 available for cheap, just needs electronics.
I'm throwing the slash in the mix as I could use it as a back up racer if I get the lcg for it, and would like it with the bug body, but I don't know how they handle with the lcg compared to the other.

How do you total an RC car? And the Slash would be fine. BUT, if you are bashing, do not buy the LCG kit! Stick with the chassis it has on it right now, as it will teach you to be a better driver.

I ran into a tmaxx, him and I were going full speed, and my front tires bounced so I couldn't steer, and it was a head on collision. Every piece up in the front is broken, shocks are bent and such, even cracked the chassis. And I had the rpm bumper, that broke too. I guess it's not totalled, per say not fixable, but I do want something else

Ah, gotcha. You can find really cheap parts here for it; http://www.dollarhobbyz.com/traxxas/...-2wd-xl-5.html

I have a Slash 4x4 Ultimate that I think is a great basher(that's all I do) Waterproof electronics(i run in snow often),LCG,etc. Soooo many parts available to make them bullet proof even though I think they're pretty tough in stock form. I just added Pede tires/wheels, a 3s pack and some RPM frt arms(courtesy of a fight with my mailbox) and am having a blast with it!!

well the t4.1 is really cheap. I think I it would best for me to buy it now for basher.
I'll get the stampede running again and probably sell it off and get a slash with the buggy body.

Well maybe buy it, throw my electronics in it and trade it? maybe also swap the 4pole 5700kv with my 2pole 3800kv in my sc10, and re-gear both?
I think I won't have ground clearance issues where I bash, so a lcg slash would work. Is there anything durability wise that's different? I mean, empty dirt parking lot, or my driveway, or a no traffic dirt road.
If I do get a slash, I don't know if I'll go 2wd or 4wd, just because if I do get a slash, I want the buggy body, and I think a 2wd would look more "realistic" with more aggressive tires in the rear than the front.
