I know my glow engines but the brushless stuff is somewhat new to me. I have a 4.5 turn 4 pole sensored system . I am doing some troubleshooting on it for a friend. I have a meter that will run the motor up under no load and gives me Amps draw and Kv output. I am seeing 5 amps at max rpm no load.
Is this normal?
Most systems (admittedly higher turn motors) will only see like 2 amps.

I'm no expert on amperage and such, but 4.5T is a big ass motor! I wouldn't be surprised at 5A.

A 4.5T sensored system IS a "big" system. Probably paired with a 120A - 150A speed control. Yeah, I could see a 4.5T pulling 5 Amps.
