Good car or not?
Hi all,
i am am thinking of replacing my RC car (search up '1/12th scale maverick RC car jaycar on Google' if you are interested) with this (http://www.hobbyking.com/hobbyking/s...uggy_RTR_.html). I have a few questions though:
1. Will I need to assemble the electronics?
2. What is the best battery
3. Is it possible for a brushless motor to go in without a change in the ESC
cheers,
hman out

Integy 4wd buggy/Quanum Vandal 4wd/YiKong 1/10 Racing 4wd Buggy/VRX 4wd Buggy
I think the Vandal is a good choice. Every model has it's little quirks that needs attention. There are many re-branded versions of that 4wd buggy around. Back in May, I gave up counting. There are at least 4 different companies offering that 4wd buggy platform, all with different names. Integy 4wd buggy/Quanum Vandal 4wd/YiKong 1/10 Racing 4wd Buggy/VRX Spirit 4wd Buggy....the re-branding stops at....FTX Vantage...or is that where it started out at...I don't know. I had Integy's version (with a FlySky FS-GT3B Tx/Rx) on my wishlist for Christmas presents, but the price keeps on going up . They started out @ $109 US in May 2015, and now they are $170 US.
If you want some of the best input...http://www.ultimaterc.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=174169
You will just have to put in your own battery, and it already comes with a brushless motor.

1. Nope, just plug up a battery and its ready to go.
2. Venom's Got Your Back! But seeing this RC car, I don't think a $40-50 LiPO is in your budget.
3. Yes, however the most I'd upgrade to with that ESC is a 13.5 motor.

The charger from your old car will be slow, but it will work until you can buy one.
