Default Is my servo dead?

Hello, I was running my Arrma Talion one day and it just stopped: esc fan stopped, no throttle or steering, nothing. I called Arrma and they diagnosed the problem as the receiver and transmitter. They sent me a new receiver and transmitter for free and I just installed them. The esc now starts up, does the beep it normally does during startup, and there is throttle response, however, there is no steering. I checked the plug that goes into the receiver from the servo and I'm pretty sure I installed it right. I'm not really sure what the problem is, any ideas?

The servo is stock, the new receiver and transmitter are Tactic TTX300.

What I do when I don't have any other known good servos that work...You know the ESC is getting a signal from the transmitter/receiver, now switch the plugs from the ESC and steering servo opposite on the receiver (steering servo plug into channel 2 and the ESC plug into channel 1 on receiver); then try to operate the steering servo with your transmitter's trigger.

If you get nothing...my best guess is the the servo is "toast" or a wire has become broken in the insulation or torn off inside the case.
