how much do you think this chassis is worth?
So I picked this slash 2wd roller yesterday, not sure what kind of chassis upgrade it is, but it looked cool so I bought it. How much do you think is a fair selling price? The trans is perfect, took it apart to check. Also looks to have upgraded dog bone drive shafts. Should I put some brushless goodies in and sell? I have a castle 1406 6900 kv motor and 60a hobbywing esc I was thinking about putting in to sell. Also a traxxas 2.4 receiver and remote. Any suggestions?

bThanks man, yeah I ended up putting in a castle sw3 4600 kv set up I had, geared her down and added a new body. I find myself wanted to keep her but I feel like I have too many. Do you think I can can get 300 for it with a 2s lipo?

In all honesty anything past $250 would be robbery IMO. My cousin just bought two used slashes, one was a vxl and the other was the brushed version both complete and working along with a tool box full of spare parts and tools for $300. I would personally never spend a cent more than $200 for a used slash no matter what was on it and even then it would need to be very clean. Just don't want you to get you're hopes too high. These toys do hold value really well in comparison to other toys but not to that extent. Keep in mind that brand new and updated with extra features and accessories that truck is $350. Ya you don't get a lipo with it but lets be honest a used 2s lipo isn't something to go nuts about and a sidewinder 3 system is just ok. I promise i'm not trying to be mean at all just honest as someone who is always buying and doesn't like those awkward haggling moments were the guy looks at you like your try to take him for a ride.

ATTACH=CONFIG]2159735[/IMG]Ah gotcha, yeah I don't really have experience in selling so I appreciate the feedback, I'm still not sure if I want to sell her yet. But if anything I would sell for 200. Sense you have some experience in selling slashes, hoe about this one? I'm selling half of my collection, I feel like i have too many

Now a 4wd will grab you some more cash as those are $600ish new depending on what all you get. Pics are a little blurry so i cant tell the motor but as a knee jerk guess i would be inclined to say in the 350-425 area depending on the condition on close inspection. Looks like the front end is built up a little just because of the colors but i cant tell if thats metal or plastic on the a-arms. Tranny looks aftermarket as well so that makes me lean toward the higher end if it runs really nice. Hope this helps and good luck i moving some of your collection! Its a great excuse to get more lol

Yeah the motor is a castle sct sidewinder 3800 l put in new less then a month ago, geared with a factory spur and 13 t pinion, steel driveshafts, big bore shocks, upgraded trans, sway bars, spektrum rx\tx, tires are great, metal arms on the front, rpm plastic on the rear she runs like a top, never put a 3s on her. I'll ask 375 for it and 225 for the 2wd. I really appreciate your responses man, and yeah I might up with an 8th scale buggy for the track with the cash I get from selling some of my babies lol I also have a cc sw3 powered rustler and tacon powered stampede I'm selling thinking ill ask 130-150 for each

I haven't ever had a stampede or rustler yet. I did consider a stampede for my wife but ended up with the yeti 1/10th. I think 375 is a decent deal for that slash. From the prices i have seen they should sell just fine. I don't have personal experience for the buggies especially 1/8 but i see people with the 1/10 kyosho at the track and they handle AMAZING when set up correctly as well as the losi 8ight. Just food for thought if you like to spend time at the track! Those 1/10th buggies make everyone else look like they have never driven or seen an rc in comparison lol.
