Default Looking for esc on an e revo

im kinda new to the electric rc world, but I have an e revo with a Novak 6.5 brushless sensored motor. I am looking for an esc. Found a couple that I think might work, but wanted a couple opinions. What should I be looking for? Thanks

You sure you want to use a 540 size motor?

I don’t really know. Is there something wrong with the motor that is on it?

Its 36 x 72mm which is a bit smaller than stock . The 6.5 Turns would be a fairly fast motor and on 4S in a big truck I could imagine it gets hot quick !
Im sure there would be plenty of original Traxxas ESC/motor combos out there for sale , or Castle Creations MM2s with 2200kv motors .

Ah, the Novak HV6.5 motor is the motor in question I'm assuming. Gotcha. The HV motor should be able to deliver a hooting good time. I was quick to think of one of Novak's Ballistic, or similar, motors. Just look at the motor's specs for picking out ESC that is needed. I'd pick a 150A 6S capable sensored ESC and go for it.

Well I installed a Mamba Monster X and this motor has plenty of power. It kinda puts the nitros I used to run to shame. Lol. It’s a blast in the snow we have, now I can’t wait to get it on some warm, dry ground!!
