Default Help identifying electric buggy

I have an old 2wd electric buggy I found buried in my garage.
I'd like to be able to know the brand and model so I can possibly find some replacement parts. Any help from the gurus here is greatly appreciated!
I've taken apart the
What I know (what I think)
it previously was 4wd as it has hubs up front but no shaft or gearbox, and was wrecked and modified

the front bumper/skid plate, shock arches and front right inner c all appear to be hand bent out of Plexiglass (done by previous owner I'm assuming)

the gearbox has a crack in the left side housing and drips fluid if I try to drop any silicone lube in.

tried posting a pic but site wouldn't allow me

But seeing as how you need 10 posts to post pictures, and can only post 5 a day..

I'm 99.9% sure it's an Optima, but with a lot of "extra" parts to go along with some missing parts . The suspension arms bug me though. I 'm pretty sure they are not stock Kyosho Optima parts. It used to be a 4wd buggy, but now 2wd because I see the belt/chain is gone.

The good news, you should be able to find all the parts you need since Kyosho did a re-release of the Optima about three years ago. I'd build it back into the great stock 4wd buggy that it used to be. I'm not gonna list the possible parts that are needed to get your RC back to it's former glory,

but it'll take quite of money to do so.

Is that a servo in the front of the chassis (where a gearbox should be)?

Wow! That's awesome thanks so much for your help.
are the parts interchangeable? They look almost identical, that sure would be nice haha.
And yes! That is a servo where the gearbox is supposed to be! Servo didnt work unfortunately so I'll set it aside for a new unit.
Found vintage parts for relatively cheap on eBay.
I don't think I've got the budget to do a full restoration all at once but a gradual build is very likely.

Did some more looking and realized the parts are compatible! That's what a rerelease means, Doh!

Well that is freaking fantastic, even on my college student budget I should be able to afford to get this fine piece of engineering back to its former glory in no time! Though I think I'll start with only replacing what's broken.
Thanks again for your help Rusty, don't think I would've figured it out without you.

And as a side note, the suspension arms appear stock but there is a piece of thick plexi attached to each which held on this sweet ZR1 body with Velcro.

Kyosho Turbo Optima. Still have mine. The gold shocks and sway bars make it a turbo. The optima had red shocks and no sway bars. Same chassis as the Javilin and the Salute. Those cars were killer back in the late 80's. Then the optima mid came out and the old optimas were history.
