Default Blackout XTE motor smoked with 2s lipo

My son and I each have a Blackout XTE, the gray suv and the red truck. I upgraded both to a 2s Lipo(7.4v 6200mah 80c). I also moved the LVC jumper on both. Both batteries were fully charged.

The red one was always significantly slower in original setup. After installing the 2s, the motor smoked/dead immediately. Steering still works.

Also, the gray suv went like a bat out of hell, but had less run-time than the 3000mah NiMH that came with the trucks. I was under the impression id get at least double the run-time, but only had about half the original.

Any thoughts or help would greatly be appreciated.

I would contact RedCat support and describe what happened. If you placed the jumper where it should go, YOU did nothing wrong.
