Default new to electric

I ordered the Duratrash Delphi and i want to learn more about electrics. i have nitros and this will be my first electric and i want to know what the maintenance procedures are and how to break in the motor and stuff like that. i would also like to know more about the motors, i know that the more turns that it has the faster it will be but does that mean that it will lose torque or not and what does single or double mean? also i will eventually be getting a new motor or two and i was wondering what people would reccemend , maybe a super fast one to show off with and a 14 or 15 turn for normal use i know that i will need a new speed control for those motors. i dont think i can afford a fancy brushless system though.

I can only answer the "Also" question:

I live in Michigan and we have been having some very cold weather as of late. The coldest day I had it out, it was about -3F, my ROTM Pro has handled everything just fine. I have however broken some shock towers along with various other parts (ie. rear bulk head). I am thinking that driving like a jackass doesn't help especially in the cold.

I run my electric TC3 in below freezing temps. No problems. I also run my nitro stuff and no problems.

Spratt - love the avitar!

The only bad thing in the cold is sometimes the plastic parts can be more brittle and break easier.
