I know exactly what you mean and that was what I was thinking dus mate.

1st impressions are that these cars are awesome

The lock on the steering is mental, did try out the one fitted with the rally block tyres today and was realy impressed with it.

Not tested the one fitted with the drift tyres yet but will let the boy test that out as he can have a first go at it.

Will fit drift tyres on both when we test them again.

Lots of aluminium and very strong looking, will need to re-home the on and off switch to fit a motor heatsink.
Very good esc with brake function, doesn't get hot and works well.

Modified thema bit as there was no suspension travel and the car was too close to the ground, so fitted tough springs and had to set the camber up afterwards.

Exactlky dus, hahaha.
Set up the camber now due to it going out by miles after fitting themuch bettersprings....honest the thing had no suspension travel at all.

I'll put some pics on
These things are awesome, we played with them most of the day on Saturday, we had a few packs charged and got a 5300mah pack.

I will try to get a vid but wont be for a couple of weeks.

Welcome back mate.

Not used the bycmos for a few weeks, the drift tyres arent very sucessful to be honest, the 4x4 cars drift easy.

I'll do a search for the yokomo and see what it's like.

Got a few pics to put on a bit later

Yes dus, they were the rally block tyres, they are getting low now though.
Just took some pics of finished shell so 5 mins.
Got 2 hpi 15 turn motors and a strip of heatsink from Maplins that have cut up for the esc for a bit of extra cooling.

hi ian
a friend who attends the truck meet has one
he says 50 for it without radio gear
our trucks are getting new 2.5 gig radio gear
so i think i will put the fm gear into the yoko
if i get it just depends on what its like

As said then, go for it.
Could you explain just what the 2.5gig stuff does and why is it better than normal please
I know you need a transmitter and a reciever, is it worth it?
One thing I have noticed is that you don't need an ariel on the car do you?
What do the digital screen transmitters show on the screen?
One more thing.....what did you have for dinner

Default RE: Subaru Impreza WRC 1/10 Bycmo

hi ian
sorry its 2.4gig not 2.5gig
i must still be in lapop mode lol
radio control equipment using the 2.4 Gig band share this radio band in a very different way
they use all the frequency channels in a quick random type scatter
this spreads the transmission of each system over the whole of the 2.4 gig radio band
each transmitter spends so little of its time on any single frequency channel
that almost zero interference is produced to any of the channels
as a result of this continual frequency hopping of the whole or part of 2.4 gig
radio band many r/c systems can be used alongside each other without co interferencea
ll the systems simply share the same 2.4 Gig radio band

the yoko
to be honest i dont know what its worth
as i dont know anything about rc drifting
i bet you know more about it than me

on most digital screen transmitters the screen is for fine tuning your car
i.e. trim, throttle and breaking

sandwich and a big slice of cake that will send the blood sugar trough the roof
(best not let the doctor know ssshhhh)
