hi speedy
can you do a photo of the underside of the chassis
like you have said it could be as simple
as over tight screws thats making it twist
you could try stripping it down and rebuilding it
remove the motor first and see if the motor housing plate goes back straight
if not when you strip it down just check to see if the motor plate is straight
if not try bend it back to straighten it out

Not sure Dus, looks like everything is in the right place.
I'll have a good look at one of our cars tomorrow.

As for motor you can go for those Ansmann racing ones, they seem ok, or Tamiya motors.
I know someone who raves about those Yeah Racing motors.

i think there are 2 under the chassis and one on top of the diff housing
if it is bent it could be twisted back simple job
wonder what happened to vince

Not sure where Vince went..... lost all interest with radio controlled cars lately... couldn't get those high powered brushless things to last long without getting hot.
Trusty Bycmos still work fine, not used them for a while but will do I promise.

Still not got round to taking the cars out but have made them both roadworthy. Boy is mainly into his bikes these days and me too.

Was thinking of selling the whole lot but will keep the Bycmos,

Want to get back into it again and will do soon.

Best wishes dus, you helped me figure out a lot of stuff lol

I will be back soon.

Hi All

I'm hoping I could pick your brains , I'm new to the rc scene and unfortunately I bought a bycmo :-( , I've searched the web to try and find upgrades for it but can't find anything especially a new diff , was wondering if you might be able to point me in the right direction , I've read on the thread the diff can be locked with blu tac ? Do I just stuff it in and that's it ?

Thanks in advance
steve

hi steve
welcome to the forum
after you strip the back end and opened the diff put your blu tac in the planet gear housing then rebuild
this is only a temp fix but the good thing is if you get hold of gears you could always remove the blu tac later
if you want to make it permanent use a 2 part epoxy glue that will do it
hope that helps
if you need any more help
just let me know
dus

Hi Dus ,

Thanks for the quick reply , I'll give the 2 part epoxy glue a go . I've got 3 diffs in total would be nice to get one of them to work , was thinking of ball racing the gear box don't suppose you know where I could get them from ? , was thinking of changing the stock motor if I can the diff issue sorted can you recommend a better one for it .

thanks steve

Don't listen to that Dus bloke
As above just jam the cogs up and use the whole diff to turn the driveshafts, rather than the shafts turning different ways.

Try a local model shop for bearings, they should stock all different types and sizes.

hi steve
yeah like ian says what do i know he's the one with all the know how lol
if you remove the old bearings and measure the size and then
you can either like ian said go to the local model shop or look for the same size on evil bay
you can upgrade the motor with the msc or you can get a esc and new motor

Totally with dus, fit a Tamiya electric speed controller, both ours have got these.
Never had any probs.
You can also upgrade to a 20 turn motor.... we have an 18 turn on mine.
I can take some pics if you need.

Will never sell the Bycmos mate.
Lost interest lately, not touched any of them.
Keep meaning to fit new gears to the other cars and try them, as you know we spent a fortune on brushless and lipo batteries..... cars kept over heating.
I think the re gearing will help.
Wanna take Bycmos out too, I've left them as they were, would never strip parts off.
For Bycmos will probably need some driveshaft pins the right size, have lost a couple.

Will be honest, gotta be a year since touching any of them.

Meant the hub pins, not looked properly yet.
