Thanks for the info both , will be heading to the local model shop next week for the bearings .
Whilst I'm there I'll probably pick a new 20t motor but will I have to modify the esc to fit the car or will any tamiya esc do the job ? , I like the look of those wheels Ian are they a certain type or will any fit ?

http://scaletrucks.bb3host.com/viewt...hp?f=18&t=2077
ita a robbe airport fire engine its meant to be one of the first rc trucks to be made
it has lights head/back/indicators/reverse lights and it also has flashing blue lights
(new leds from gt power they would look awesome in a bycmo shell (link http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GT-POWER-R...item19d7f4bd18 look at the price)) and a sound system for the siren

The esc just plugs into your standard reciever and then the wires go to your motor, very easy.
Dus was the one who reccomended the hub conversion to me when I first joined.
Bycmo run 10mm hex instead of 12mm hex.
You need to fit 12mm hubs.
Will find a link on ebay for you Steve.
Basically these

The Fire truck with all the wheels dus?
Doesn't look that old to be honest...
Steve, been a while since I fitted them but just remembered that you need to file a small piece of plastic from the plug on the esc before fitting it into the reciever.
Small file and about 5 mins work.

Hi steve
I'm sure you will be able to sort your car out
If you lay out your new items and replace the old ones one at a time
remove the msc and replace with the esc then plug it into the reciever then do the motors
Hope that helps
Did you manage to sort out your diff ?

Hi Dus
Ive had a look at the diffs but that's it at the mo , will wait till I've got all the new bits and do it all at once , think I'm gonna go for the permanent fix with the epoxy resin .

Sounds good.
You can lock gears with chemical metal too.
Look forward to pics.
Not sure what you mean about the spacer, will have a look later

Hi Steve
If i remember right I just used the standard silver axle shafts
But I also used plastic hexes off an old nikko car I had in the junk box
I think Ian used the upgraded black axle shafts as the hexes he used were adjustable
You could always upload photos of your problem so we can see
Hope that helps

RE: Subaru Impreza WRC 1/10 Bycmo
hi steve
i think the main difference is the black ones are lighter
if your using the standard silver shafts measure width of the shaft to see what size it is
(you also may need to use the old pins as the holes in the silver shafts will be smaller if remember)
you may need these to convert the hexes
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RC-EP-Nitr...item2ec1ce5830
they do 5, 6, and 7mm thickness
hope that helps
