Hi guys, some new pics of my conversion:

as i couldn't get a good compatible diff, i'm starting a new project. this the only good idea for the bycmo: some bits that you put together as you want.
this is the idea of the possition for the battery, motor, and rear mechanics

As i want a small body, before considering some choices, i decided to make new arms. Almost home made in alum.

Rear diff and shorter arms

body

work done until now. With new arms, I'll use most of bycmo's original parts for the front mechanics

¿¿Why?? i'll try as in the pic, but if gears are too long, i'll try putting more pinions in the middle. I don´t want a fast car, i want a ground car, easy to drive.
I couldn't get the white diff you advice me, and this one is much better. Only thing is that conversion requires a lot of mechanic work, but i don't care.

hi prof
if you are going to run the motor as it is in the photo
you could do away with the gears and use direct drive
all you would need is some cups and a dogbone
put one of the cups on the motor shaft and one on the shaft from your new gear box
and the dogbone in the middle then just make a mount for the motor

Buff... it looks a good idea but... i'm afraid motor will not be powerful enough to move the car, I mean, i think (not sure) that it will be like driving a 1:1 car in 5th gear all the time. 'll do some tests.
My idea is to make a rally car,, good in cornering under slippery conditions, but not really fast. And i should run after it, not driving stand in one place!

¿¿¿??? how in hell should I insert a youtube video???

Looks interesting so far Prof, keep us updated with the conversion and work you are doing.

Dont use Facebook here I'm afraid.

Dus, you found a brilliant car there and great condition, let me know what it goes like when you get to test it out.

Spent 2 weeks in Spain on holiday, long way from you down in Costa Brava, Santa Susanna.

Has it got a belt to drive the front wheels?
Tyres look really grippy.

You could take the shaft out and make it rear wheel drive
but I had one of these before and it was 4 wheel drive but it handled like a rear wheel drive

Looks awesome, been very well looked after.
Did you get any radio gear or are you using your stuff you already have?
Our other cars are shaft driven and it's never a problem.
Although I am ashamed to say not used any cars for a while, need to sort that.
Have overcome various overheating probs and the Bycmos are all ready to go....apart from the drive pins, need to get some more.

It came with reciever which it sat in the bin now I put my stuff in 40meg but thinking of going down 2.4g that way you don't have to drill the body for the ariel and it look like a real car but that's only a might lol

Can remember looking at the Tamiya cars in my Mum's catalouge books

First rc car was a Nikko buggy.
Was about £70 at the time.
Try get a small video of it going.
When we get ours out I'll try to aswell.
