RE: Best Electric ST
You can get the Traxxas Rustler (all you need is batteries and a charger)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXVK74**&P=ML
or a Duratrax Evader (also needs batteries and charger)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...=LXXJ49**&P=ML
or a Kyosho Ultima Sport (also needs batteries and charger)
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...I=LXSF01**&P=7
Any of these would be a great place to start, are pre-built, and leave enough in your budget to get a good charger and a couple of batteries.

RE: Best Electric ST
If you were gonna get the Losi anyway, why did you even start a thread asking for opinions?

RE: Best Electric ST
The real question here is this:
If you planned to get a Losi truck, and already had some of the support equipment necessary to run it, why would you open a thread acting like you want an rc truck, but have no idea what's available or what you're going to need?

RE: Best Electric ST
I think that Brianfast just started this thread looking to spark a few flames, and by the looks of it he's done a good job of it...
If you want good batteries (Not talking about those 1500 sport packs), then you're gonna need at least 50 bucks for a pack. My LHS gets GP 3300's directly from the factory (It's a shame he's 30 miles away from me xD), and you can definitely feel a big voltage boost.
About the ST debate, i think if you're willing to spend 300 dollars on an ST, go with a kit or a prebuilt (I'd go with anything from the Tamiya or Kyosho line of products), and put in your own Motor/ESC/Radio in it. Any kit with a really good motor/ESC/radio in it will beat an RTR.
But that's just my opinion, and I'm not going to post any more in this thread because this was made just to start a flame.
