the rising storm is the second off-road buggy tamiya made that uses the DF-02 chassis. shaft 4WD, longitudinally mounted motor anf battery, and includes an electronic speed control. is this any good its like a upgraded gravel hound it lookes good on the tamiya web site. and if the motor is bad ill just put my photon from my evader in it. how does it look to u guys?

Its a good little car. Don't put your Evader motor in there, its a garbage motor.

Buy a Tamiya Sports Tuned and gear it 58t/22t and you will fly!!!

Its a good car!

I agree with CRunk. I must say that it is a tough little car and it can take a pounding! More good info here:

Great car, durable as a rock, can be made fast, but you can't use that tt-01 gearing, but you can gear 62/22.

Really? My appologies then. I thought the DF-02 Chassis was the same as a TT-01 but with dofferent suspension. My mistake.

I run 58/22 or 23 in my TT-01.

Well, alotta the parts are interchangable, but the chassis and suspension are pretty different.

I already have brushless motors and lipos from my flying electric planes. Does anyone know the KV of the stock motor so I can make a good decision on what I'll need? Looking forward to an early X-mas present...
