of course, the evader is known for being weak. but save for a year, and once the warranty expires, sell it and get a t4 or xxx-t.

The Evader can be made quite tough with a few upgrades.
Check out the [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0005p?&I=DTXD20**&P=Z]parts list[/link], replace the parts you break often with aluminum upgrades. If you don't want to spend a lot of cash I think the graphite parts are tougher but I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure [link=http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin/wti0001p?&I=LXCTW1&P=7]this bumper[/link] fits the EP Evader with a bit of work on the screw holes. I have one on my Nitro Evader and it works great.

Also, the front and rear shock towers from the old Losi XX-t truck fit on the Evader. I have a front XX-t shock tower on my EP Evader and its tough as heck. I'm not sure how they compare to the graphic parts Duratrax offers (Supposedly stronger than the normal stress tech parts) and you might have a hard time finding them. Try calling your LHS and ask if they have any old XX-t parts lying around. If not, maybe they can order them for you.

One last thing, make sure to read [link=http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/official_evader_st_thread/m_2492443/tm.htm]this thread[/link], it should be filled with a lot of useful info.

Your spur gears stripped out because the gear mesh was too loose. Ive used the stock spur gear for going on 6 months!

How are you breaking tranny braces without breaking the rear chassis plate?

when i had my plastic tranny brace that happened ALOT! like if u slide into a curb, or land on 45 degree angle on 1 of the back wheels, that will break the tranny brace![X(][:@]

Yup had that happen a few times my self, but not any more it my brother problem now. It was a little gift to him to get him into the hobby(with the brushless set up and all) My little brother seems to like it and hasnt broke anything yet. Thats saying alot b/c any truck that fast with a new driver is bound to break. So yes with enough money you can make a evader durable.

yea ur right, cause the evader is like the e-maxx, u need 2 keep it basicly stock, or put alot of money into it...if u jus hop up up a bit, it starts 2 break from all the added weight, and stress on the parts
