Hey sleepy, do you think that truck could compete on a track against purpose-built on-road cars?

i kinda tried to redesign it to be able to knock off touring cars. this truck doesnt have the front swaybar on it yet like my other t4 does and i still want to work on the suspension a bit more but i think i could take a tc as long as the driver was on the same skill level (which is low)

i have a feigao 6s motor. its got mad acceleration and puts out 5918 (real close to that) rpm/ volt. i know that doesnt seem too high compared to a novak, but go ask in a brushless forum or a brushless dealer about the novaks rating.

oh yeah, its better than novak.
i asked bout the rpm rating once and the guy told me that novak tests their motors differently than the rest of the brushless companies so it looks like their numbers are really high but in fact they are not.

the feigao is a 6 turn brushless.

and the thing is a bout to really cook. got my 8 cell ordered from elmo, got my gps on its way, new tip and some flux to solder that new pack, and trying to get a gorilla maxx battery strap to hold it all in.

i really am not showing that much. right now i am thinking of taking it apart and having all the al parts reanodized. if i made them all black and then showed you guys pics without the lid, then it would be sick.
actually i think i will do that sometime in the next couple of weeks, i want to build that pack and gps it to see how i a doing.

i dont know, i sure like to show off but i also like ppl to look at my cars and see a little something that makes them go " i wonder what that guy has in there"

that how i am with my 1:1, especially at night, flip on the neon and everyone assumes you have a car that only has the looks...til you blow by them at 100+

all that is to say once i get the truck how i want it, i will show it. i am very close now that my new towers are done and i have my ti cvds

nutin special...just a '04 Mazda 6 with a few upgrades, you'd be suprised how many ppl think they can take it though. this will prolly be my last toy(with neon and all that) to play with, my next project a few yrs down the road is going to be a 68 or 69 camaro. but right now the big toys must stop as its almost time to look for a new house since marriage is fast approaching.

back to topic.....yeah the custom projects are a ton of fun, and what i really like doing is true custom work, things that noone else can go out and buy. i know someone will be able to copy my suspension should they choose to, but i know my differential will not be copied, and that makes me happy

well just got the gorilla maxx battery straps ordered. so now i am just waiting on parts. got some more road rage 2's coming, trinity locking shock nuts, some new bearings to support my new topshaft design, got the 8 cell pack coming, a new tip to solder the bats, the bat straps, and the gps. dang, when i spend money, i sure do spend money. the last time i did this i bought the jr x3s pro and the 6s and controller..... dang this is an expensive hobby.

Nice truck! How did you get a picture of my wife on there? haha LOL. So why do you have it so low? Just an onroad racing thing? I think your next big toy should be a Wrangler; coil overs, SB 350, 700R4 tranny, well, I'll just stop there while I'm ahead!

well i just got my new topshaft finished today and its sick.... the whole top shaft weighs only 2.7 grams!!!!!! now here are the weights of the other ones out there:

stock shaft: 10g
lightest shaft you can purchase: 6.5g
my custom ti shaft: 5g
this custom shaft: 2.7g

i plan on running some tests to see what kind of rpm difference this will make. i expect it to be between 1-300rpm under no load and then i will do the same test with the ti cvds.
good time, good times, gotta love customizing

for an evader? i would have to get my hands on a tranny and study it for a while. but just about anything is possible. i know you could drop in a lightweight topshaft and could put in lightweight outdrives. the thing is, you bash and i dont so i can get away with designing for super lite performance, but hey, we can give it a go if you want.

munkey, now you know i dont race yet, i dont even have designs for my oval truck yet. and there is no way my baby is gonna see dirt, she is a street only truck. so if we wanna hook it up some day and play in the parking lot, i am all for that. as for the question about the friday before memorial day, well like i said i dont race so i dont want to be embarassed. that i am hope to FINALLY get my riding lownmower that night (gettin a 3 grand mower for exactly 1 buck, just got to make a quick weld repair) and believe me, that John Deer is more important than anything that night ( i am sick of push mowing the lawn) One of these days i hope to make it up there. do you have a street addy or the website for the track so i can see how far away it is and how to get there?

NO.... and my hobby cash flow is about to be reduced to nothing in exactly one month. I actually am a mechanical engineer with a concentration in manufacturing and machine design.....that means i LOVE to tweak stuff and since it costs too much to tweak my 1:1, i concentrate on rc.
