Crash story.
Last night, after only a day of having my new wheels/tires and motor installed, I was running my XXX-S II in the street in front of my house along w/ my friend's TC4. We saw a car coming and are always careful to move the rc car out of the way. Well, this time, after a car passed, another car from the opposite direction (that I didn't see coming because of his speed), came around the corner, ran over my car and didn't even stop...just kept driving away. I was in shocked silence. The body was completely crushed (not the stock body, but a MBZ AMG body I just put on it an hour before) and both wheels on the left side was crushed almost half way down. Plus, one suspension part that connects to the wheel on the front left side was broken.
What me and my friend found remarkable was that other than that damage mentioned, the rest of the car was intact. I super-glued the broken suspension part, put back two stock wheels/tires and put the stock Alfa body back on and after plugging the battery back in, it ran just fine. Of course, I have to order new wheels and tires w/ foam inserts (which I just did off eBay). And I have another pre-painted body coming in as well (BMW M3).
At first, my reaction was to find the guy's car and key it like there's no tomorrow (since I spent over $300 on the XXX-S II plus hop-ups). But after I calmed down, I'm just thankful that I can still run it okay.
Oh, and to point out another fact, before that happened to me last night, a couple of hours before my car was crushed, my friend ran his car under a parked car and it came out w/ only 3 wheels. We were able to super-glue that broken part that connects to the wheel back on, too, w/ no problems so far. I think we'll stick to empty parking lots and the local hobby shop track from now on.

I understand how you feel, it must be terrible. But He might not even have seen the car. Plus, you were in the streets... they're kinda meant for 1/1 cars...

Sorry I said that I just thought it would be a logical thing to do. jk It just is a terrible thing when people act like they didn't do anything even though they did.

RE: Crash story.
Thanks for the support everyone! Nah, I didn't get the lisc. plate, the car was going too fast plus I was in shock for a while, too. At the time, all I wanted to do was fix it which I did and the superglue is holding...for now. But after I fixed it, my friend and I drove around looking for the Nissan Altima or Maxima that ran my rc over. I had revenge on my mind, but that *#@%ing jerk wasn't around my neighborhood. Anyway, I believe what goes around, comes around and he'll get what he deserves later on.
Like I said before, just glad I can still run it...even if it's not 100%.

A bro, don't ever i mean ever try to glue your parts on your rc cars. U can really mess some things up lol. I tried that when i was a newbiem when i had a tc3. Messed all sorts of things up on that thing.
Lay off the super glue, save it for your tires.

RE: Crash story.
dudes half of my old street force was glued together with duratrax medium tire glue!lol, im dead serius guys, i never bought one replacement part for the whole thing, i glued the front bulkheads back together, both shocktowers in multiple places, i did a a arms and i took a lighter and melted it to hold better, bother differentials came undone so only one of each of the wheels would move so i just dumped the rest of the bottle of tire glue on the diffs, it locked them but it worked, pice of crap

RE: Crash story.
If you ever catch him and go to court, make sure you say that you were driving on the right side of the road and that he sverved onto oncoming traffic just to destroy your car and that he endangered other drivers by doing so and that you saw him laughing when he sped off. At least I hope that works. What can you do besides get aluminum for all the broken parts and then know that karma is a beeyah.

Yeah, I thought about keying his car, but he parks his car in the garage. His car is parked in the driveway, not worth it. At least I know where he lives now (my friend found his house the other day).
