Emaxx would still smoke the tmaxx... theres not enough room for the tmaxx to spool out, how ever the emaxx spools out instantly.

Why bother, I can give you a breif description

"Electric is slow and for kids, nitro is fast and for men"

Thats the typical reply you would get.

I'm pretty new to both nitro and electric, unless you count the electric Frog back about 20 year ago. I now have a T4, with an SS5800, and a stock Revo. I have to say I like them both. I like the simplicity of the electric. Also it does turn heads. At the small track I go to, they all drive nitro monster trucks, they are all amazed at how fast an electric is. It turns in MUCH better lap times.

At the same time, the Revo is a blast, I like the tuning part of it. Also I think the bashing with the Revo is SO much better. I'm sure an E-Maxx would be fun too, but I just don't think it would be the same.

I actually think if the cars never broke and never had to be tuned they would be boring. Although sandbags and T4 turnbuckles are starting to test that theory. I really like having 2 cars, and I like it even more that one is nitro and one is electric.

I like electric just cause they got the low end torque.[>:] My buddies XTM X-cellerator nitro has like no low end. On lose dirt it barely even spins the tires when my pede creates a dust storm.[X(]

i just like reading SkrapIrons threads, lol there funny. nitro is too slow. does he even know anything about the cars hes bashing? RPMs arnt speed. besides, electric has a bigger power/speed curve then nitro. and by the way, why is he compairing STOCK RTR nitros with his modded brushless car? i can do that too. my HPI Nitro RS4 3 ss with a wasp .21 conversion can wipe the pants off a RTR HPI sprint. see, its easy. oh and by the way, id like to see SkrapIron race his electric wonder car agains a Serpent Impulse pro, can you say 72MPH? ouch. and come on now, EVERYONE knows that RPMs DO NOT equal speed. my Micro RS4 does 35K RPMs and it does like 25MPH. the gearing is what changes your RPMs. electrics have more power for like the first 3 seconds of the curve, then the nitros powerband dominates. the faster an electric car goes, the more power it looses. i bet you dont even own a nitro car Skrap, you sound like all the other electric fan boys at my LHS. sure, an electric can me modded to keep up or even pass a nitro, but guess what, nitros can be modded too. you can look at the rc car speed record. its set at 111MPH by an electric, but it has 12 cells. you cant race that so what good is it? sure it beats nitro, but its not race leagal. you can only have 6 cells, some track allow 7 MAX.

duh, howcome i can do 30mph in my (real life) truck in the top of 2nd gear, at 3000 RPMs and 25MPH at the bottom of 3rd gear at 2500RPMs lol, just dont waste your time. lets be friends and not bash like fan boys, saying things like "nitro has NO power" and "hands down, electric beats nitro in every way".

I thought nitro vs electric is like apples vs oranges? Different powerplants and different fruits. I don't remember seeing any debate on apples vs oranges, just take what you like, you can even have both. * Zips into flame-suit *

i mean come on, you got to argee with me that Skrap dont know whats hes talking about, look at this quote

" Apples to apples, electric is superior, at a comparable cost per vehicle ( RC10B4 w/ brushless motor and 3 batteries = $562. Jato with batteries, fuel, extra glow plugs etc = $459). The nitro is NOT that much cheaper to start with. Yes, a $180 RTR nitro can get you to $35mph, but that's about it."

hes compairing an electric buggy with an aftermatket motor with a STOCK jato (new expensive statium truck). how about RC10B4 with a 15T stock motor at $224 on towerhobbies and a Ofna 1/8 9.5 KP Violator Buggy RTR at $389 on tower. price depends. you cant say ELECTRIC IS SO MUCH CHEAPER OR NITRO IS SO MUCH CHEAPER. an elecrtic RTR will infact lose in a race with a nitro RTR.
