Default What do you guys think?Support?

OK let me start off by saying that the last few weeks Ive been rebuilding peoples motors and they love them.Ive been doing it for free for most people but its starting to dig in my pockets. So I was thinking that I can start a motor refurbish service...It would include....Diamond trued comm, new serrated brushes, cleaned and roiled and broken in then dynod to check performance. Now I cant afford to keep doing this without charging so would you think 15$(parts included) to do this is fair?I mean I just cant say no thats messed. Also I might do it on order to and do it 20$ shipped. You could bring back your motor to life for 20$ instead of buying a new one. What do yo guys think? Its just a idea so know one lose their panties.

sounds like a deal, I can't even get the bench ready and set-up and look at one motor for that amount. I usually toss them into a box and get a new one and then when I have a bunch to do I do them all at once to save labor cost.

Sounds like a good way to make some cash.

I think $15 would be a good price to pay for a rebuild. Having to buy new lathe bits shouldn't be much of a problem, the diamond ones last quite a while.

20 for walk-ins sounds fine. now if people stop coming, you can always reduce the price, but when you raise it, you make a bad impression

Well that the thing....You will get.

Dimond trued com, new brushes, springs.Your bushings will be clean and shined.Hoods will be alined. Then after that it will be broken in and dyno tuned then shiped.

Figure this. The brushes you get are top quility

The springs are hand picked for your motor.

The com is dimaond trued.

Theres going to be well over a hours work in your motor to make sure your FAST.

All that for 15$?plus 5$ shipping.ALso the shippign is prioirty mail and will be well packed to make sure your motor gets to you in the same condiiton it left us.

Now if you dont want this to happen guys tell me now cuase im not going to wast my time and money.

See what you really need to do in order to make money on this is get the brushes, springs, etc in large quantities from a distributor. You're buying that stuff at 50% more than it costs a motor tuner... I do have a distributor who can sell you that stuff and we may be able to work something out... Shoot me a PM...

sounds like a pretty good deal but if your starting a motor service you should go all the way and sell a selection of pretuned motors aswell as your tuning services. thats cool you and elmo are linking up on this.

Well its not so much as a tuning service, but a refurbish service.Maybe in the future we could offer something like that.Since I will be using all birdman supplys I could possibly retail his motors.Well see what happens.

yea, i guess with the alignment of the hoods and dyno stuff, you will probably have close to an hour in each one, and certainly if you include the packaging and shipment of each. i suppose back before i did them myself, it would be plausible. be carefull if your just planning on turning the comms , have a plan for dealing with folks that send you stuff thats beyond saving..
