have they fixed the over heating problim on this charger yet?? im thinking of geting it for my mini's. it will mostly be charging 2/3A 900~1100 cells at 1~2A curent. if they fixed this charger please let me know this will be my universal charger for every battery pack i own. i dont own many packs but i will have a few good 1100 sport packs for my new Rc (2/3A) and there rated to charge at 1~2A curent so i wont be realy useing my charger hard but just makeing sure this is a good charger for what i will be doing

It's a great charger for doing 2/3 A packs because it will not get hot. They have not changed it so it would still get hot doing today's 4200's at 4.5 amps (especially back to back packs)
A digital piranha is also a very good one for doing mini batts and a bit more versatile also.

ooo ya im on a budget but for 2/3A packs and it not over heating thats a good thing i live in oregon it can get hot in the summer but it gets very cold in the winter. my house is useuly around 68degrees and i wont be afording any 4200 packs any time soon. i do have a 1500 ni-cd pack for my roto start but i have a ni-cd charger for it that works its mecanical but it works so from what i can tell this will be fine for my little Rc plane with its 900mAh pakcs and my mini with its 1100~1500mAh packs all 2/3A

It's very easy. For your minis you will just have to change the default current setting to 1-2 amps and push start. For the 1500 subC packs you will have to change the default mv setting to 50-70 and push start.

sweet, ya im geting some of these ultamate RC sport packs for 11$ and there like very good sport packs and there rated to be charged at 1~2A curent says to charge at 1.5 for the 1st 5 cycles or so. then u can charge at 2A but to just watch the temps of the pack if it gets realy hot to just disconnect it but i will be takein care of them. im thinking of makeing myself 1-2 custom GP1100 2/3A race packs for my mini when it arives soon. im plannin on haveing around 3~4 packs for it 2 sport 2 race or 2 sport and 1 gp pack it just depends but if this will do the job you cant beat 45$ and i got a good 25watt soldering iron for like 20$ brand spanken new for my new mini
