I just picked one of these up..........It's one sweet truck! I have wanted one for a longtime and finally found a great deal on ebay. I always liked the looks of it being styled after a real trophy truck. I am running the stock motor, GP3300 with an ESC and full bearings. My only other speed mod will be a better motor. I will be building a tube front bumper with lights and a skidplate for even more realistic detail......ill post some pics when im done.

You should get a 15 turn if your esc will handle it.

I dont know the specs on the ESC....it is what came with the truck and was a stock upgrade from Tamiya. I believe on the newer versions of this truck it came with the ESC verses the old style speed control. Anyone have any input on this and what motors I can run off it ???

Wow just went to tamiya's website this truck is $216.00 as a kit with no electronics except junk motor and msc.
Never, ever look up the retail price directly from tamiya. They jack it up in excess of 150 bucks. I dk why anyone would order directly from their site

Yep, 4wd, that's the best part. I rarely get stuck in 2-3 in of snow.

It's a tamiya rising storm, and right now it's in pieces getting custom treatment to lighten it up. I'm dremeling the heck outta it since most of the plastic on the thing is thick enough to go without some excess plastic. I also made custom rims with a dremel since the stock ones are oldshool. I'm pretty happy with them, they are my first pair made with a 1970's dremel, hopefully for christmas i get a newer version.
