I run an e-maxx without the Gmaxx chasi and was wondering what the wheelbase of your new machine is? I am very curious to see and here how it handles against the truggy's/gas MT's since your going to race it. I currently race my e-maxx at my local track in the open MT class against the Truggy and monster truck guys and although I am not the worlds greatest driver by any stretch, I do know that the extra wheelbase and low center of gravity of the truggy are awesome ( I have driven a Jammin ). I have always been into electric and don't really want to sacrifice going to gas if I can come up with a solution that fits the bill. Currently I run the NOvak brushless system and 7cell NIMH bats and have no problem ripping down the track with any and all of the gas machines. My biggest problem is when 10min main heats come up which has been happening more and more. I just barely make it and have fallen flat a few times with 3700mah matched packs running wide open for 10 min. I would definitely love to have a longer wheel base and lower center of gravity.

I am out of town for the holidays, so it will be a bit before I can measure the overall wheelbase. As for the lower CG and length I can assure you the Gmaxx makes a huge difference in the handeling. The chassis extension and setback arms add substantially to the length and ought to help it to handle the rough and fly consistently. The For run times you your either gonna have to up the Mah., or get a more efficient brushless system.

I'm having very impure thoughts about that truck.

How about a shopping list for that project?

Ok, I can see you have the G-maxx Chasi and i know how much $ that is (great price for what it is). What suspension set up is that? It doesn't look like G-maxx stuff? What kind of arms and shock towers are those? I figure for the price of the G-maxx Chasi and suspension you have there I could either go ahead and make the conversion or sell and go straight to the gas truggy. I would rather not go to gas since I don't know gas and have always been into electric. I currently run two classes at the local track (open MT and two wheel drive stadium truck "losi xxt"). I am the only electric MT in the field and it is always fun the get the "Woooow, that thing is fast" and then the obligitory "I can't believe he beat those gas guys". The novelty of running electric in the open class is truly fun. If I had more of a truggy style suspension, wheelbase and low CG I am almost sure I can speed up my lap times and give some of the local big dogs a run at my local track. As it is I can always make the A main but I am a 4th - 6th place finisher out of a class of 8. I know that haveing the fastest latest truggy/truck has nothing to do with finishing 1st in any race. It's purely about driving but It would be nice to give myself a fighting chance against some of these truggies. Let me know what you think of your machine when you get it all set up and do send me some wheelbase numbers. I am very interested in seeing how your project turns out. Mostly intersted in how it performs on the track and it looks and sounds as if that is your intention.

N2dwild- the short answer to your Question about the suspension and bulks is UE racerX, and UE VBS-T. The drivetrain is from Ue as well witht the exception of the Gmaxx single speed transmission conversion.
