Hey guys, any idea what gearing would be good for around 38-40mph on 2s with a 4000kv motor? Im thinking maybe 18/86, but not sure just yet...

you could probally bump it up to 22/86 just fine on 4000kv and you'd see about 40mph running stock tires

Hmm, sounds like the stock pinion may do me fine then. I just didnt want to be overgeared starting out. I can always go up later [8D] Thanks guys. Get to pick it up tomorrow night Wife says i have to wait till my birthday(11th) to stick the brushless in it though, since she bought it for my b-day. lol

Hey guys, got my evader yesterday and am pleased so far. Just would like some meatier tires and the in laws are wanting a christmas list from me, so that sounds like a good item for that.

Anyways, does anyone know if the losi high roller rims will fit ok? I know some losi wheels will, just trying to make sure they all fit. Im just wanting to go with some bigger tires so that it will handle grass and off road better. If these wont work i may go for some proline flat irons.

Also, has anyone had problems from the EXT2 dogbones on brushless? I didnt realize they had little roll pins in the end instead of solid pins. Just wondering if the roll pins have sheared on anyone under brushless power?

looking at the exploded view that losi provides looks like they'll fit just fine

and i've heard of no issues from sheering dob bones

Good deal on both accounts. I hadnt read anything about dogbone problems, just wanted to be sure. I like the fact that the stock wheels and tires are so light, but ill probably pick up some of the high roller wheels so that it will handle the grass and offroad decent. The stockers dont cut it in grass

He's been running them in the Speed T on 30-35mph gearing with no problems. Same system ill be running, except 3500kv instead of 3930kv. They seem to work good. The truck goes 100x better in the grass and off road than the stock evader does. The LHS had another evader when i got mine and so my father in law called and reserved it today. Hes selling the Speed t possibly a roller, and his new evader will get the Losi tires/wheels and brushless system. [8D]

Im still not sure what ill do about tires. I really like the stock rims. Im thinking maybe stock rims with some proline flat iron's or proline dirt works. Possibly the dirt works. Or i may still go with the losi setup. lol Id like something that isnt real tall and heavy, but i also hate not being able to run in some grass if needed. Hard decision. lol

ok cool..i mean cant really see the sense in spending 250 bucks on another evader when u can spend alot less im sure and update ur existing evader so its up to par with the brushless evader when it hits the shelfs.i meana s far as the radio..yes its a 2.4 radio.but i already use the tactic 2.4 for my rustler, losi xxx, nitro evader,rc10 gt as well as my ext2

the BL's radio is better as it works with the futaba fhss transmitters and i wouldnt be surprised if the tx could use the receivers.

Few things i like on the new brushless evader

The new slipper unit
the new rear plate with the wheelie bar
the new front bumper looks good
and i am hoping the metal top shaft and also the gear on it is made from different metal than the older one.
Guess the waterproof servo and reciever box is a + also!
