well take a looksie at the picuture, as you can see, 2 of the 4 bolt holes work, thats my evader tranny plate on a b4 you'll need bigger screws tho, i don't have my b4 rear end with now[:@] or else ild talk a pic with that on the evader, and i'm not sure about the tranny brace either but i'm gunna really look into this, i wanna try having a wide rear end B4, that'ld be cool imo...

I gotta get some paddles for my Slash for this winter. The threat of snow is within spitting distance of where I live but I don't think we'll be getting any just yet. []

hehehehe.....it broke. finally the streak came to day and it broke, didn't even get hot. i called and get this BS. the man said, "the streak can't handle lipos, it can only handle between 4-10 cell" and i new i was talking to the one guy in the company who didn't own an rc lol. i had to explain that my lipo was only 7.4v, cleary within the 4-10 cell limit which was in NIMH and NOT in LIPO. we argued for a while before i finally told him it was unacceptable and i wanted a new esc. he then told me that there wern't any brushed esc that could handle lipos........ thats when i hung up that phone. i'm calling tomorrow to see if i can talk to some one a little more intellegint. heres proof if you want it, [link=http://www.teamnovak.com/products/esc/xrs/xrs.html]XRS[/link] notice how it has a built in lipo cutoff. now according to the duratrax tech brushed esc's can't handle lipo. SO EXPLAIN TO ME WHY A NOVAK XRS, A BRUSHED ESC, HAS A LIPO CUTOFF. and it was his idea to look at novak electronics.

in other news.....no package, so ski's

Good luck finding a 5t pinion. That or a HUGE spur gear and little tiny wheels.

So are you gonna send your whole truck to them or what? You can get a better ESC for less than that would cost. I just don't see how those things could keep going bad. Your motor must be pulling some serious amps or something. Or maybe it's shorting out completely. Have you tried the same setup on a different ESC?

You've killed 3 of those things, It seems pretty unlikely that you got 3 bum ESCs in a row.

Let em ask you this, how much throttle are you giving it when it quits?

i bet the lipo therory is right, just cuz the amps that they can put out, you have like a 25C right at like 5000mha, may be totally off... but yeah i'm still voting amps the novaks, are good, i 80% sure i have an XRS and that thing is dinky, but it should handle the power fine i think it has a lot to do with the accuall quality, of the build, and i'm pretty sure the novak is designed to handle more amps than the streak just cuz its newer, so the streaks clam is votage, while the xrs can handle more amps

the streak is rated for 300 amps cont. and down to a 12 turn motor, even though esc rated for 300 ,you can only use what the motor will use.

yeah, which is odd, hmmm, i guess the current hitting the esc from the lipo is too much even tho the motor doesn't draw it, the esc may re-route it back into the batt??? idk how that works, or anything with that kind of ciructry...

linky no workie,
http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXD250&P=7

biggest i could find on tower in 48p, if you go down to 64p, the teeth are smaller, so you need a higher tooth count per gear...

those are 64p, so the teeth are smaller meaning a smaller radius gear for the same tooth count...
