Carnage!!!!

Had it full speed in a parking lot and didn't slow down in time. Smacked right into a brick wall. [:@] The rear chassis plate and motor side suspension arm broke (not where I trimmed though! )

The chassis is a cheap fix, I might even have both parts in my parts bag. I am worried about the motor, it took a direct hit and doesn't want to go in reverse, I don't know if somethings binding or what. Better tear into it and see.

i know i said i would have a video this weekend but last night i was driving in a parking lot that had some steep snowbanks and i blew through two sets of gears in my servos. i thought my origanal servo was shot but it just broke a gear and i broke the other one last night. today i went down to my LHS and had a hitec karbonite servo sent but it won't come in till thrusday. hopefully next weekend.

scott-don't know what to say about that motor, its a CC so they can't be taked apart.

probably not going to be putting anymore money in my vader because my summit fund is low and i saw one at my LHS and fell in love again.

You going to update that back chassis plate with a metal one? I have seen them on Ebay pretty reasonably and my dad has one on his Vader.

EXT, the plastic is has more spring to it so you won't break it as often

EXT if you do not plan on racing.. or jumping as they are fun to just run around the back yard.. If you plan on racing.. or jumping then grab the ST as you will spend more on the upgrades to get the EXT to the ST spot.. but I would buy an EXT chassis on Ebay and swap it out since they are only about 15 bucks shipped and are more durable than the ST one.

The tires are Duratrax. They seem to hold up well to the pavement and are pretty cheap.

The motor doesn't make any weird noises when I shake it and revs freely when out of the truck. I'll have to get it together and see.

Hi Guys,
My son was finally able to get the Christmas present out (we are in MN). The temps were in the low 20's, but still cold which is probably the reason he broke the front shock tower on a running with a rock[]. Hard to be patient ! So I will be building a bumper this weekend and sending the piece to Duratrax to get the free replacement.

He has the electric Evader ST RTR 100% stock. The one thing I noticed is that the reverse speed has a bit of a delay. If you are driving and pull the reverse, that delay can be the difference between a crash and avoiding one.

Is there a way to set the reverse so it engages the moment you pull back on the trigger? I could not see anything in the manual and this is our first car (I have been into scale boats).
Maybe it is supposed to be that way to protect the gears?

Thanks, [8D]

Yup, deff. supposed to be that way. Just like any trans in any vehical, you deff. don't want to go from drive to reverse instantly or somethin will give I used to have an old Hiaboxing MT and it actually had the option to set the ESC without a stop first before reverse and when that happened, it kinda sounded like armogeddon

my bro owns a traxxas jato, today i was looking at it an i've decided it wouldn't be too hard to mod the 2-speed tranny into my evader. the only downside is room, and durability. the jato tranny is mounted to aluminum but i don't know how it will hold up to plastic. it might take some heavy moding but i think it would work. going to take it out and do a small mock up. today i was driving and i broke a rear bumper and the think that holds the bottom of the shock shaft to the a-arm. just zip-tied the shock and she runs fine.

the esc reverse delay function so the brake function can be used on better ESC's you can tune this to your preferance depending on driving conditions and such
