Well if you can ID this body ..... You'll get the old schooler Body ID award ..... It measures about 7 1/2" wide and 12 1/4" long ... my guess is that it is an aftermarket body but no idea what it was made for (but it looks decent on my Baja King, RC10, and even the 10T). Just like to know what it is, so if ya know please help me out !!!

Cool ... I'll get some pics of the mod here when I finish it ... it's a back burner project for now. Only thing I have done is modify the rear arm mounts. I need to get another set of B4 CVDs. The only ones I have are on my B4, but I can use them to show the mod as well as the wheels/tires. I just have too many other things I wanna do before getting to the old gold pans again.

i dont think im gonna win the award for identifying this body but it does look like some kind of a parma body.as i have one that looks similar to it.it looks very short though.

Looks like a body for the Yokomo YZ-834B. Kinda stubby.

Dude thanks a million !!! I googled the YZ-834B in google images and thats exactly what it is !!! Man I thought it was going to be a crap shoot trying to ID those 2 bodies .... but you guys came through !!!

just brought the old rc10t3 off the shelf was wondering if any of the t4 bodies can fit the t3 and if not any other body that can also any of the t4 parts fit the t3 thanks 4 the help will throw up the vid soon need a body

Looks like the SG Coyote body. It's and 80's italian race buggy that never took off.

T4 on a T3 (Body)

I placed a T4 body on a T3 with a slight modification. The way the hood goes down onto the posts does not permit enough clearance to clip the body on very good. With a heat gun I took off the body mount piece, placed a small piece of wood in the center, strapped the sides of the mount to pull them into the block of wood and then used a heat gun to heat it up. In the end, the body mount piece had a curve on the side uprights kinda like )( but not to that extreme. This made the posts stick outwards a little. At that point it was a perfect fit and since it was done with a heat gun it appeared "stock". The other option is to make an extension on the mounting posts to stick up further. The method I spoke of turned out great.

The T4 is quite a different truck. Not sure if much is interchangeable at all. Body can work.

Hey now, I had an SG Coyote back in the late 80s! Interesting buggy.

Anyway, I have a question - I have a vintage RC10 buggy, I've posted pics in here (a while ago, granted). It's got the old school gold shocks that are thinner in diameter compared to my Stampede big bore and Bosscat (which are as big of a dia as the Pede big bores, actually).

The RC10 shocks have adjustable pre-loads via a collar/screw setup, where you loosen the tiny screw, move the pre-load collar up/down, and tighten. I've stripped out one collar threading, another is close.

I'd really like to just get the pre-load plastic C-shaped spacers like my Bosscat and Pede shocks use. Problem is, the spacers for those are too big in diameter for the RC10.

Anyone have any links to where I can get the thinner ones for the RC10? Tower would be great...but I can't tell how big some of them are, or if they'd fit these older shocks.

No love for this question (above) in the thread I created, so I'll add a bit more info here for you RC10 junkies:

I really don't like the screw/collar setup to hold the springs in place. I'd much rather use preload spacers that would fit. I can use a larger screw to fix my current issue, but I really want the spacers.

Best I can tell, my shock diameter is 3/8" or perhaps 7/16". (Tough to measure with a ruler and not a caliper). My Bosscat shocks, by comparison, are about 1/4".

Problem is, preload spacers I'm seeing on Tower dont' list spacer diameter. No idea if any of these would work or not:

B2 parts are hard to find because it had a VERY short production run .. then the B3 was released. Ebay is your best bet. Grab a B2 and tear it down for parts. Also some parts from B3 will fit the B2 .... goto Associated's website and d/L the B3 and B2 manuals and compare part numbers.

i saw recently a hot trick rc 10 go for almost 300 with no 4wd conversion.nice car btw. did you buy it like that or build it from piece by piece?

Man I wish it was mine !!! It belongs to a friend of mine in Japan. I offered him lots of cash for it but he won't sell LOL !!! I even offered my entire collection, but he won't part ... he said it's like his child LOL !!! I told him he could have visitation rights .... LOL !!! He says he built it from a kit in the mid 80's .... he says the kit was almost more than buying any of the 4WDs that were coming out the the time. He still runs it ... with friends. They have a club with a bunch of old RC10s and various Tamiyas & Kyoshos. They have some really nice buggies. They race at Yatabe Arena in an off-road vintage class. He won't race the 4wd RC10 there ... only at a club track, but he runs a few Javelins and Optima Mids at Yatabe.
