Evader ST Pro Slipper Clutch
I am having a bit of a problem with my new Evader ST pro. I had the slipper clutch set up good and it slipped a little, but after running it a while in my back yard the slipper seemed to tighen itself and is no longer slipping I noticed this as I drove it on some asphalt and it was pulling wheelies. I dont like pulling wheelies and I want the slipper to do its job but everytime I loosen it, it just tightens itself again. I've searched the forum and cant find an answer. Can anyone help out with some advice on how I can sort out my problem?

It sounds like perhaps when it slips it is grabbing the locknut and tightening it. I've never had one do that, but I run mine very tight.
Maybe the nylock nut is won out? A double nut will also work.

The truck is new and it happened within 15 minutes of running it. For some reason the lock nut tightens with the slipper slips. I dont run in reverse as the esc I am using does not have reverse.

Get a new nylock nut or double nut it. The double nut is a sure fire way to cure it though. This is a common problem on the evader. If you double nut it you won't have any more problems.

Double nutting is a sure fire way to stop it from loosening, but when the nuut is heading inward, the outside bolt does nothing.I would just use some loctite.

If you double nut it correctly they WILL be locked and neither nut will move in or out. If you tighten that second nut down on the first one it won't move. It is a guaranteed proven method. It works on the rear axel of 70+ horsepower atv's so I am sure it will work on a little slipper.
Locktite will work too. My only problem with it is if you need to adjust while you are out. You have to break the bond, reapply and wait for it to dry. The double nut just takes two wrenchs, then it is ready to go. However, either method works just fine. I always make a mess with locktite though.
