Dynamite mega peak charger
The charger Im using (Dynamite mega peak) is suppose to be a peak charger but somtimes it seems that its just a timer????? it always takes about the same time to charge a battery so I decided to test it so I took an old 1500mah nicd charged it took it off and put it back on and it charged another 25mins[:@] if it detected peak the first time wouldnt it have detected a full charge when I put it back on[&:]

RE: Dynamite mega peak charger
Yes, it should have. If you are using it regularly then you know it is chargeing. That's strange. The 1500 should have been very overcharged. If you have a cheap multitester you can run the current thru it and measure the charge surrent to verify. Maybe it's grossly underchargeing and happens to time out at 25 minutes?

RE: Dynamite mega peak charger
Well im new to RC so I dont know much but its seems it shouldnt just keep chargeing it im charging at 4 amps so why would it be underchargeing plus Ive tried chargeing at 1amp take a guess at how long it took yep 25 mins its really irratating and I cant afford another charger right nowso I have to stick with a charger I paid $50 for that does the same thing a timed charger does that i could have got for $25[:@][:@][:@][:@][:@]

RE: Dynamite mega peak charger
Well your right, it's doing what a timer charger does and should not be doing that. Do you use the batteries regularly? I am wondering if it is chargeing at all. It may have the light or screen or whatever saying it's chargeing at 4 amps, but may not be chargeing at all.
Are you also sure you are using it right? I do not have one and the manual is the best guide, I'll take a look at a manuel.

I just read the manual, Are the red leds working as described in the manual? Is the charger or batt getting warm? what happens when starting the charger or changing the rate?

ok I get the battery plug it in a light starts flashing i hit the select boutton to make the light go from the 1 amp LED to the 4amp then hit start and I get a steady light indicating its charging about 25 mins the light flashes which means it suppose to be on trickle charge so as far as i know im useing it right its just not working right[]

Yes, it sure sounds exactly like the manual describes it, if the charger nor the battery is warm then I think I would check the power source and fuse because it sounds like it thinks it's chargeing, but is not.
Also you may try to see if it has a light when only the charger is plugged into AC or dc power (with no battery hooked up to the outlet)

RE: Dynamite mega peak charger
I dont have another battery I have some I want to order but I need the money first and theres no point in buying more battereis for a charger that cant even charge right so I guess RC is just being a ***** right now [:@] I cant send the charger back becuase I dont have the box or papers anymore and I dont think they will take it back since I put a deans plug on it

RE: Dynamite mega peak charger
could the hobby shop have made a bad solder when putting on the deans"? or put on backwards =+ to - ?
If you can get ahold of a multitester then you could check it out.

RE: Dynamite mega peak charger
Ill try to find one but I dont think the guy messed up he does it all day for ppl and I got more power afterwards so I know there good its just the charger is acting more like a time charger than a peak charger[]
