Anybody know if you can use an Airtronics M8 to run the transmission with the turn dial? Or can you use a spektrum dx3? I have mine on the way. Anyone know where you can get a rubbersealed full beaaring kit for it? Thanks

what winch? As far as I see no winch is included, though you can easily rig one up using a servo and some rope. Here's an article how to do it: http://www.rccrawler.com/winch.htm

multi function unit

the fourth channel on the Futaba attack would work, if you don't want the MFU.

Yes, on the Futaba 4ch attack, you use the stick to shift. They say you should use the shifting grid, so you don't strip the gears (you have to go into neutral before shifting) but I don't use it because the truck might loose too much power and won't go when being shifted into third (mostly on reverse) If you have a better motor, it might now do that, but even with my S600 it still does because I cannot shift fast enough. The tranny is pretty strong IMO, and can handle abuse.

It is most likely for planes, and probably doesn't have reverse. You can only run a brushless motor on it, and I think it will only run plane motors.

I had a Mamba 7700 in my High Lift. A Mamba is just too much.....fun, but too much motor.

The ONLY brushless motor that I think would be appropriate in the High Lift is a Novak Crawler, but it is probably too much, also. In the end, you don't want to go fast, your motor just needs plenty of torque.

The Novak crawler system is pretty expensive:

With a 4 channel stick radio, you move the stick from left to right (1-2-3). With a 3 channel radio, you use a switch (but not all 3ch have this, so you have to be careful for which you choose.) For lights, you can feed directly off the battery, as soon as I finidh my setup I'll get some pics. I use a switch on the truck to turn it on, so they are no always on. The 4th channel can be used for a winch, but if you want the MFU, then you need the 4th channel for that.

Can't wait to get started but haven't ordered bearings yet.

Mounted the tires and rims up though
