RE: Home mods
Ermmm you live in a hobby shop right? Ahh thats good then, will make this easier.
First thing I would do is get some deans, or corally style plugs. Next would be a relaly nice charger and matched batteries.
Looks wise, aluminium always looks PIMP! So do custom paint bodies [8D]

Yeh, you can adjust the point at which the shocks attach to the arms and the tower, which will adjust ride height, you could try drill new holes as well, though probably not the best. Also putting spacers on the shocks, but that will only lower it, and reduce their effectiveness... Or do you mean something else be raising or lowering the chassis?

Well if you have any sheet metal lying around and the proper tools, I guess you could make your own custom parts... but it would be easier, quicker, stronger.. and um better if you were to just buy parts from somewhere.
Or a beer can and a mortar tube.. this was my homemade cuztom mod

I don't know if this is what you're looking for, but here are some ghetto fixes I've done over the years. There's an MRC Ironman that has been to hell and back-- I have lots of traxxas parts so I've had to make those work with the MRC. When all else fails, I make some parts out of lexan. You can see the lexan a-arm fix
Oh and the last pic is a traxxas sledgehammer, I fixed the busted tub chassis with some lexan.
I know it's ghetto, but it gives the trucks character and it's cheaper than buying new parts!

Haha I know, I'm proud of it! The Ironman has been a "trainer" truck for almost everyone in the family. I let my friends drive it when they come over so I don't have to let them drive my nicer trucks. It's fun!
I don't think there's oil left in any of the shocks. LOL
