or i assume, until you turn on the controller. cause they were both hooked up but the controller wasn't switched on. i guess its like if you turn off the controller before turning off the car...

thats also a possiblity, although I figured if you have a battery plugged in and the power switch on then there should be power to the Rx also and the ESC shouldnt beep. I hate when I forget the Tx isn't on and I turn on the car. I did that last night after breaking everything down and putting everything together. The car shot across the kitchen counter and into the microwave door[:@]

Mine beeped at me when the Rx got wet the other day in the ocean.[:@] The connection was severed because of the water and even though everything was on it didnt sense the Rx there so it just beeped.

my GH's first run

got a question though, my battery wires are short, so connecting it is a difficult without taking off the shell.
but as you know, the shell is held on by screws.. what's a good remedy for this?

I like the skid at 43 second... ha!

You can maybe somehow convert it to body pin to mount the shell (drill holes on the shell, buy body posts, etc.) or build a short extension cable... ?!

how did you do the image as an attachment like this, with the preview? when i attached pics of my hornet on another board,i just used the link tags but i dont like how it was embedded...

i gotta video my Hornet on a run, i just need a new spring cause I lost one on the right rear damper shock on the first day! so fun though. or does anyone know a good set of replacements that are more durable and are IN STOCK! ?

also, when you drive yours, how do you switch it into reverse? i thought i figured it out but it was different every time.

yeah, 'cept i got 2 kids, so i think i need TWO more... now the question is, Blackfoot, Brat, HotShot, or Frog? I kinda wanna a monster truck. I like the lunchbox too. Dont the Lunchbox and Blackfoot have the same chassis? Do any other frames fit on a Hornet chassis?

OR do I go Nitro? LIke a Nitrage, or Traxxas Slash/Rustler

Hornet and Grasshopper have the same chassis.. Lunchbox uses similar setup but definitely different chassis.. same transmission, though.. (but different gearing) Brat and Frog are the same except wheel/tire/shell/bodymount.. Blackfoot and HotShot are their own thing.. !

Yes, you need 2 more!

sweet so i COULD get a grasshopper shell and decals and use it interchangeably? i'm also thinking SPORT TUNED! but I want a blackfoot... can't decide between a blackfoot and a frog for car #2. decisions, decisions!

Grasshopper has hard shell and is secured to the chassis via screws.. (instead of body pins) But yes, it will work... !

ahhh. sounds like a hassle i like my blue hornet. i think i will go blackfoot next. so i have a truck and a buggy.

now if only i could figure out the reverse. i get it to go into reverse but it seems like its different how i get it to every time. i have tried double forward pump, single pump then hold, etc... it seems to go into reverse when it wants to after i push the throttle forward. i dont get it!

wish there was a place to race around here.

Your on the side of CT that has all the cool shops and stuff with tracks! Theres no tracks on this end of CT!

To the other guy with the short battery wires, he could solder some longer battery leads on. One of my packs (IB3600) came with really short leads but I switched the Tamiya plug for Deans and its a little simpler to just pull apart instead of having to press the tab like on the Tamiya plug. I still have to get my fingers into the canopy of the car and its a pain.

Also nice job on the video embed. Thats the only way I can watch youtube at work, embedded into a forum thread or website page.

I've had that happen a few times. Some asphalt has too much grip while others it can powerslide on! My current shell has a crack in the tail and the two front canopy roll bars are cracked and the left headlight broke off. All have been superglued and are holding up just fine.

I got the second shell (shelf duty) in the mail, just waiting on the sticker sheet to come in. I couldn't find an OG sticker sheet to make it look old school so I got the same 2005 sticker sheet. Still waiting on some driver/light part tree to come in stock.

What's the big difference between the old and current sticker setup?!

I know for Frog it is different.. (I posted some pics at the Frog thread) But I thought the Hopper / Hornet are pretty much like the original??
