Where?! I can't see it.. they are too skinny... (joke)

I am sure it would work fine.. I guess I just like something more beefy for a TXT.. I am sure they are just fine, though.. !!

You are definitely right, I would also like something beefier, what do you have in mind?

oh of course! Haha! i just havent posted that question yet. you just beat me to it. i have been posting like crazy! I have like 50 posts and i only post in this thread.

The question is how do i make custom links? i have been searching forums like mad. i was going to post today and hopefully find out how. i have 9 pieces of 5/32" @ 36" lengths brass tubing i planned on using for custom tube frames that maybe i could use with some all thread down the middle but i dont like that idea too much. or i was going to go down to local metal supplier and get something similar in steel, and maybe buy a tool to thread them. i dont know much about that but i was going to look into it. i wanted to check for another way first. i'll post what i find and i am open to suggestions, your comments are always appreciated.

so custom links, a custom tube frame/chassis, and a custom steering setup yet to come.

BTW do you think jato or revo ends are stronger?

How to make links => depends on how good you want them to look and what kind of tool you have..

If you have a lathe, it is REALLY simple.. use it to cut to the length you want, and then drill a hole on each end and tap.. very professional looking..

If you don't have a lathe, you can still do it, but the hole might not be centered too well, etc.

But you can always get a hallow aluminum tube that have holes in the middle already.. make sure the hole is not bigger than your threaded rod, and then you can just drill to enlarge the hole and tap..

forgot to order deans and the place i ordered my wheel adapters/wideners and bolts/nuts/washers from has them cheap. Didnt realize until afterward they werent ultra.

$1.80 for 2 - male and 2- female w/ shrink tubes so i ordered 5 . had them add to previous order so didnt have to pay for shipping.

http://www.toughracing.com/zc126d/in...roducts_id=857

DOH! whats the difference between ultra and these? did i waste money?

Default RE: Lunchboxer's TXT-1 project...

as of right now

-i still dont have jumbo kongs, but hoping to get some soon.
-i need to start my custom tube digger chassis

but until then i am thinking about mounting everything on my stock chassis and run it because i have had this truck for roughly 2 months and still havent driven with 4wd or 4ws!! lol

so now it will have:

-traxxas twin 550's
-traxxas EVX2 esc
-traxxas revo shafts
-traxxas E-maxx 2speed tranny
-savage shocks
-wheel adapters/wideners to 17mm
-rims/tires on first picture of this thread(if anyone knows what kind please inform me)
-axle guards removed
-new era skid plate

working on right now:

-2.4ghz custom Tx modded(will be doing something special with this one)... waiting for it to arrive
-2 TowerPro MG995 custom chassis mounted servos(oh yeah! no servos on my axles!)... waiting on parts
-extended 4 links with new lower axle mounts ... waiting for parts
-mounts for e-maxx tranny ... in progress
-mounting shift servo ....waiting for tranny to be in
-shock mounts .... waiting on parts

In the future

-custom sway bar like the one from new era(maybe)
-extending wheelbase(if needed)
-custom tube gravedigger chassis
-4 more savage shocks (maybe 8 integy silver msr4)
-Jumbo Kongs
-1/8 Parma Gravedigger body mounted

tx finally shipped today.

anyone have original tires and rims for each the clod , TXT, and jugg??

i want to see some pics side by side by side. a link to pic will work

well the situation is i want stock txt rims and tires and someone is offering to trade me some jumbo kongs with MT style rims, clod rims and tires, and a skid plate (he is not sure what brand) for my axial rims with huge MT mudslingers.

i don't want something smaller than txt tires he said he could probably get jugg rims with clod tires which would almost be the same. i want to see the difference before i make a deal. thanks ahead of time!

Don't have a Jugg so I am not sure.. you can probably look up their pictures and compare.. but Clod and TXT have the same tires.. different rims...

Don't think I have any extra TLT axle mounts... you can probably buy those small items from Tower w/ $4.99 shipping.. It is not too bad.. !

yeah it is bad after spending all my money, damn i think i already hit 1k invested in this.... wow. it hurts to put it that way. but anyway, i'd rather wait and use a $10 off a $50 purchase and get the shipping free. damn i am gonna miss their july shipping deal. was nice to get express shipping.

I don't know when I'll get time to take some pics, but it's like this:
TXT and clod tires are the same(like LB said)
clod and jugg use same wheel to hub 5 mounting lugs, the txt uses 5 lugs as well, but the lugs are a little bigger.
So, you'd want clod or jugg wheel hubs to run clod wheels on your txt. Stock txt wheel hubs WILL work, but you'd have a lot of free play.
Btw, I know the above statement is true because I own a txt and a jugg(in progress). My bro owns a clod.
