-Project DirtThrasher-
Ive noticed that only a few people on this forum have a dirt thrasher. So, ive decided since its so unpopular, id try and see what I can do to give it some attention and show everyone what its capable of. The dirt thrasher was my very first hobby grade RC car...i havent driven it in a LONG time But, I will blow the dust off of it and make a shopping list for it!
Heres a pic of what it looks like right now:

RE: -Project DirtThrasher-
This project is gonna be slow, id rather take my time and do an awesome job. Ive got to do alot of research and find out just what parts i can use on the dirt thrasher. I think first im gonna take apart the tranny and re-lube it and grease real well. Also, some new tires and rims are a must. Im going on vacation next week, so right now I cant buy any parts. But, after my trip im going to go on a shopping spree! Any suggestions?

The g/f's new toy is a Dirt Thrasher. Other than ESC and bearings in the wheels, it is as stock as a rock.
Nice to drive, but seems awfully slow in standard trim. Also, the local track is a bit brutal, so monster truck wheels might be a cure for that

Incredibly easy to drive, as compared to my 2wd buggy. Quite slow though! Like everything else ... needs more power!
Haven't given it all that much of a workout, really only around 4 batteries from new.

[:@] been tearing my room apart trying to find the drive shaft for the dirt thrasher and have had no luck! I didnt really even like the stock shaft that much though, I wonder if i can convert the drive train somehow and use a stronger and more reliable shaft...hmmm[&:]

It's a monocoque DF-01 chassis which is shared with the more rescent baja king, baja champ, or the manta ray, so all of their parts will fit.I can't find any parts though, do you plan on buying or making parts?

If you ever have to go in and tweak the steering servo repeatedly on a Falcon, you won't be all that crazy about the buggy. That thing's buried.
Had a falcon for a while, beat the tar out of it, sold the (mostly intact) chassis on eBay a while ago.
