Stock silvercans (for now, probably T600s later) with HPI Speed GT ESC (the one from E-Savage).

Well LB, your using the same set-up as me, 540's running at 14.4v. I'm seeing that I needs pinions in the near future as well. My stock ones have been running long time with years of running different motors (Traxxas and HPI 550's, Kyosho mayhems, etc., when it was using both the stock and Clodzilla IV chassis's. But those plastic gears are very tough and beefy, I'm still using them ever since I got my Clod in the first place.

Yeah, usually I find the aluminum pinion to wear first, before those plastic gears!

You should see the punishment the pinion in WW-2 gets!! ha!!

Anyway, with the RR steel pinion, I think I am good to go!!

That clod goes pretty good on them stock silver cans with 14.4 volts!! How many silver cans have you gone through still on the original set or have you worn out a couple with the power lol? Man I might have to order me one of these haha they look funny waddling and bouncing around look really scale to the oleschool monster trucks for sure.

The silvercan on the rear axle just gave out the last time I ran it.. no idea how many runs I had on them but not too bad.. I got plenty of spare silvercans...

Well I received my parts from crawford performance yesterday . This stuff is really nice . I got the body lift the aluminum server savers and the steering links . It totally took the slop out of the from end . Here are a few pictures .

Cool.. so you are still using the single servo setup, right?!

How much is the aftermarket steering setup there?!

Now go out and bash some more!!

those parts look pretty nice. I think they have a whole kit for like 20 bucks. I may look into that option once I order mine. to me to put the servos on the axles takes away some of the oldschool flair and makes it more like some of these modern crawlers :P

Thats exactly why I didn't want to do that . I like the look of the old school setup makes it look kinda like the real thing. But yeah the links from those guys are nice, very sturdy.
