I just put some 14t motors on the clod from esphobby and dang this truck really hauls ace if you know what I mean. I could only try it out in the house, not too much room in here. ugh. Cant take it outside cause it has been raining for a month straight now. argh!!!!![:@]

I don't know of to many people using those motors. 14 turns should get that Clod moving really good. A long term review on those motors would be great. Good luck with them and beat the snot out of it.

ohhh I am going to beat them good as soon as this water dries up. I will put up some posts on how good they work. They might end up being to fast. I will have to see.

They sure don't tell you much about these motors? I'm sure they will run fast, but I'd like to know what makes them worth 55 bucks apiece LOL. Anyway take a vid of the truck with the 14t motors and let us know how they do haha

I took the EBR setup out for some snow bashing and I started to have problems with the mounts sliding on the links, so I went ahead on ordered the 3/16 collars. It seems to only be a problem when the links are wet and become slippery. I shoudn't have anymore problems after I install the collars. I will post a update when they are installed.

Warning! Do not put those motors on your clod unless you want to break something! Haha! First outing and I broke the steering arm. These will not work well without some serious reinforcements to some main parts. Ha. I think I will be taking them off. Oh well. I know that if I ever want some wicked crazy fast motors I will have them. The truck was out of control!!!

speed control? I haven't built my clodbuster up yet, still working on a tb-02 at the moment I have the kit ready. I plan to run the mech. as long as it will take the abuse, then i'll put a duratrax intellispeed on it.

Actually, I got to playing with my Clod on the EBR factory shock setup and it seems to work real well. I think I'm getting just as much travel out of mine as yours seems to have by the picture. I'm going to get some AE Factory Team T4 front shocks and it should work even a little better than my Integy Piggybacks. The AE shock should have another 1/8-1/4" of travel since they don't lose any to the Piggyback assembly. It jumps great, although it's too slow with the stock motors to really get any good jumps, and it drives and crawls REALLY well. Since they're locked onto the ball with the rod end I know they'll never slip. I've had mine out running in 4-6" of snow and it did AWESOME!! It was so much fun, I'd have gotten some video, but I don't have a video camera. I'll get some more pics up of it soon when I do a couple more things to it. I've got my CPE steering kit on the way!

I got the collars in yesterday and I ordered the wrong size I guess I am going to have to return them for the correct size. Oh well...it's always somthing!!!!

Do you think they make the suspension too stiff? What weight oil do you use? I am considering a pair.... or four to be exact!

Woot just got a nice shelf queen from ebay wooot!



I am going to sell off some of the extras I don't need, I built the original clod so I knew I didn't want to build another lolz. I will still tear it apart and see how it goes and threadlock where I can. Not sure if it has the full bearings but that and a few necesary ESP goodies will be in order.

If the Super Brain is a 960 I'll keep it I actually have a 959 already.

Yes I plan to eventually do the on axle mod although I am really curious to see how far servos have come in 20 years first. The S148 (43oz of torque?) choked horribly back in the day and I really want to see a single servo MG 645 shine in this application before I go there just yet. The MG has 3 times the torque for $30. If I can stay with one it will mean alot less draw on the battery.

I am planning on hunting down some stocker T-Maxx Big Bore Oilies for cheap, ESP Wheely, hotter motors and the ESP Chassis lift/brace for now. I like the LBXR alluminum anti twist braces...I remember that was a weak point years back.

Thank god for oldschool Tamiya Lunchbox and Clod Buster for getting me back in the fun side of R/C...I almost lost hope because of tempermental Nitro 1/8th scale racing. I don't feel like I am retired from nitro but slowing things down and having fun rather then repairing every 4 minutes has given this hobby more "repeat play" value as they say...
