Just got done soldering the motors and wiring. Bench tested the T600s, twin motors sound great on 14.4V

Interesting note on the TT ball differential.

I was curious as to why the diff had three sets of ball bearings. Well, now I found out why. With the motors not installed the differential would free spin fairly easy. This worried me because it was very loose. I just didn't notice the gears spinning in the case as the diff counter rotated. basically when I spin one wheel the other spun in reverse.

With the motors installed, the diff is very stiff now. I am definitely relieved!

The motor does not allow the diff gear to counter rotate, allowing the inner main ball race to do the work.

Finally I get some high tech gear too....[8D]

LOL... I am sure that thing will require some adjustment to get it to run perfectly.. but once it is dialed.. it should be pretty awesome!

You can hold up one wheel and see how much power is the other wheel transmitting.. to see how much of that limited slip effect you are getting..

LOL, it's pretty limited alright. they recommend a break-in period before making any adjustments. I increased the setting by two notches knowing it will lossen up. This is the fun part of the hobby though, tinkering...LOL

Nice paint job. Looks like the F-650 body? That body is not so good for aerodynamics but it is bullet proof and has good details. Super thick lexan saved my TNX a few breakages while I learned how to jump properly.

Yes it is the 650, I didn't get it for aerodynamics though. I bought it soley for it's size, 21", I am going for a more scale look.

Ya, it's as thick as my Grave Digger body....nice and tough.

Hmm...well I can tell you the paint chips off very easy. So much for profesional paint systems.[:@]

Whatever, I am not stressing over it.

Well, I am a tad upset about the paint, but that's how it goes. Trial and error...[&:]

So here is the set up. Going to glue the tires and then send her out on a maiden voyage.
