Default Mamba Maxx woes...

I think I killed it before even using it =(
I got the motor and ESC today and tied calibrating it. It wouldn't calibrate. I tried EPA expo and set everything to 0 except EPA was 100. I tried 2 different radios 2 different batteries bo9th cannel spots and something got messed up. The green and red LED's were on really strong at first but I tried plugging the battery in and turning it on before the radio and now all it will do is have the 3 leds on really dimmly. I tried programming it but castle link said it couldn't find it so unplug and replug in the USB cable. I tried this and it said the same thing. Meanwhile the Green and red LED's are falshing or alternating...
Please help me because I just want to get it running =(

I hade trouble calibrating mine too. It was all in my radio adjustments...try looking back in the mamba thread, sorry but i forgot exactly how i did it. But, im sure it has to do with your EPA...when you turn it on can you control the motor with your radio?

Ah man, i think you should contact CC about shipping it back. But, from what you decribe...it does sound odd. Ouch! Did you burn yourself putting those deans on? Or is it just the fact that those deans are so darn small? Sorry about all this man... i knew you were waiting for that system too. What about your throttle trims? Did you check that?

throttle trim is set to 0... I think my M11 has 70/30 and I can't get it out of that throttle trigger mode.

Maybe thats why...i think it has to be 50/50. Also, make sure your throttle setting is not in the reversed mode.

Now, when you plugged it into the castle link, you also need to connect to the battery. I got the flashing with my Mamba until I connected my battery AND the castle link, then it connected right away. Try this first. If you can get it to connect, go to the update tab and get the latest software. That may fix it for you.

Using the cheap stock rc18mt controller, I had to set my low EPA lower than normal to be able to program it.

One other thing...Mine would not program when the battery was real low. Charge your battery and try again.

I had this battery freshly charged and I had the battery connected when I was using the castle link.. it will recognise it but when I go to down/upload it gets to connecting and drops out. I can read settings off f it fine
and theres only one version out for the maxx ESC

Doahh,
Do you have Mcafee installed? I couldn't get the Castle Link software to work well until I disabled the Privacy Service... (it blocks a bunch of ports, one of which seems to be the way the link goes through the USB). I wouldn't worry too much about the ESC, usually I just have to have CC on the phone for it to program correctly - It's happend about 3 times now!

It's not just Mcafee - specifically its the Privacy Service - messes up synching with my Motorola Q as well...

Make sure your ESC is plugged into a channel on the BEC not the b/c channel. It has to be in channel 1,2,3,etc. I had the same problem not with a mamba but just in general. It may work or may not but make sure its not in the battery connector channel. Hope this helps.

well it wouldn't be able to be in the battery channel because I was using my BEC at one point... which plugs into the battery channel
