A 540 or 550 sized motor will fit.

Method's are kinda on the Cheapy side tho. I'd go with a 14t Speed Gems Pro. My brother has one and its great. Or go with a trinity p-94 has great torque and top speed.

I bought my stampede used on ebay with that speed Gems pro installed. So far its been solid but i have nothing to compare it to since I never tried the stock motor.

I would vote for the SV2 pro 17 or 19turn depending on what you are doing with it.
