Which is an overall Better Truck?
To some who are answering my other pole. I think that I might grab either an emaxx or e savage. Then upgrade both stampede and my new truck. Not finalized but still thinking.

Seriously i am unbiased and i have both trucks. The E-savage is alot better in my opion. Straight out of the box using the same exact 3300 6 cell batteries. The E-savage is a good bit faster then the e-maxx. The E-savage handles ALOT better then the E-maxx, as far as durability i think the e-savage is a bit more durable, but like all things i broke parts on both trucks! Get the E-savage!

The suspension on the E-maxx IS softer then the Savage but the suspension travel and flex are about the same. But they both take hard landings on the wheels with ease. I think the reason the savage handles better is because of the tighter suspension.

RE: Which is an overall Better Truck?
I have an E-maxx, I wish it was an E-Savage... but I never drove an E-Savage so I don't really know, but I hear they handle better and don't roll over as much as the E-Maxx. So.. I say E-Maxx if your gonna really really gonna hop it up, or E-Savage if you plan on keeping it stock and only replacing parts when they break or something. [sm=thumbs_up.gif]

E-savage can EASILY handle brushless.
The two-speed isn't needed at all, and it's probably better without it.
Eh, all the hopups i see for the E-Maxx aren't going to improve it's handling (maybe by adding aluminium increases weight which increases traction, LOL) so E-Savage all the way!!

Ok listen man! Seriously IF you want a faster, more durable, better handling truck. GET THE E-SAVAGE! I have BOTH trucks! Plus i am totally unbiased. I like HPI and Traxxas vechicles. TRUST ME the E-Savage is alot better and you get everything with it, charger, 3300 mah batteries, plus i actually think the truck looks better also!
I had your same exact question and i wish someone would have told me this, i wouldn't have even bought the E-maxx. The only reason i am keeping it is because i bought a brushless motor the same time i bought the truck and i installed it a week later and it is finally as fast as a STOCK E-Savage. Keep in mind i have the Novak HV4400 Brushless motor. NOT the 6.5. but still, it's a pain in the butt driving the maxx sometimes because it always flips over, then i have to run all the way up the street to flip it back over. I mean it's a cool truck, i'm not taking anything away from the maxx, but no where near as good the E-Savage!
IF you do buy a E-Maxx, you definately need to add a brushless motor!
I like both trucks but i would much rather have the E-savage!
