You can get them on tower hobbies. The have the specs also, their was a big thread compairing the motors, not sure WHAT makes then better but the simple fact is..THEIR better. I noticed a nice difference when i installed them in my E-Savage. I hear its a really BIG difference in the E-maxx since thier slow as a dog stock lol

Don;t foget to buy the correct pinion gears. I'm not exactly sure what the correct size pinion to run with them on an e-maxx, its totally different on an E-Savage which i run a 21T pinion gears.
I think the E-maxx is something like 16 T's but i could be completely wrong.
Do a search on E-maxx ugraded motors and you should be able to find the old thread.

one more thing, you will need 3 capacitors for each motor also, they only give you one with the motors
Also i had to take a dremel to gring down a flat side because these motor shafts are rounded all around. only took about 2 minutes with a dremel. Very easy.

Awesome finally a budget upgrade, many people have used these motors...any speed difference than stock?[&:]
I suppose running the stock 550 motors dual 6 cell packs like i do it goes 22-26 MPH..
Depends if im running matched cells or not..

Oh hell yes there is a difference then stock, in an e-maxx probably a good 4-5 mph for SURE. (just a guess) MAYBE more?
THEN go buy yourself a good set of 7 cell batteries and you'll pick up ALOT of speed with that combination!

Yes you can, the EVX can handle 14 cells, just not sure if it would be ok with other motors. However, you will need specially designed packs with the 7th cell on each pack off to one side so you can clear the battery strap. or another way to secure normal hump-back 7-cell packs.

ok Thanks. What capacitors should I get with them? Also on the motors it says 7.2-8.4 doesn't it have to be 14.4 or 16.8 Like the stock motors?

It's worth it to get the S-600's. The E-savage motors probably aren't going to be much, if any better than the E-maxx motors. My buddy recently swapped his stock e-sav motors for a couple of S-600's and wow what a difference. Awesome motors for the cost and it's worth learning to solder if you plan on staying in this hobby
We put three 0.1uf caps on each motor, + -> GND || + -> - || - -> GND

Don't bother with S600's... If you're just looking for decent 550 cans, get these.
3.75 a piece... Hands down a BARGIN over those S600s, plus... you can buy like 8 for the same price

RE: E-maxx motor question (not about brushless)
I personally never had any luck with S-600s. I tried 1 pair with 16t pinions, and the burnt up quick. Then ordered another pair and tried 20t pinions, ran a little longer, but still burnt up. They where faster than the titans for sure, you can tell. But I couldnt get them to work, and dont want to waste 30 bucks on motors again, so I went with the stocks again until I go brushless.
Just wanted to throw my experience in here, Im not trying to say it wont work for you. But make sure you find out exactly what gearing you need, use heatsinks, and fans may help also! Good Luck!!!!!
