RE: Official DF-02 Thread
I would say the DF-03 shocks and Full Ball Bearings. I dont know what motor you are running. But the Tamiya TZ Motor and a BK302TEU ESC is also great value for money.
You should see the DF02 fly with an MM5700

LOL @ Gravel Hound.
Well, the more exposure the DF02 gets the better in my opinion. Very under rated little car! Sure my DF03 handles better, is faster around a track and all those kinds of things. But the DF02 is still the toughest little car in my collection!

The MM5700's are about $182 at Bishops at the moment. Well, $212 but you get $30 discount at check out.
But something else worth looking at is the Novak XBR at Towers for about $175
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXRST1&P=7
Free shipping to the US from Bishops and you can use a Tower coupon on the Novak.
Either way... The DF02 will fly!!

RE: Official DF-02 Thread
Well I have got both df02 and the df03. my df03 runs a mm5700 with normal 3300 nimh batteries and the run time is very short, not enjoying that much,,, alot of heat since i'm running in very hot conditions. it between 35c to 40c... I just finished my df02 looks like it will run much cooler since everything is breathing not hidden... i stole the ball bearings from my df03... not runing on track just for fun i suppose this will be more fun ... just need to get hold of drive shaft instead of the stock plastic shaft.... wondering if a tt01 shaft will work ???? or the df03 ??? havn't tried yet but the tt01 shaft looks like it will fit ?

The df-02 and TT-01 are the same chassis backwards, and share alot of parts
But yes, the TT-01 prop shaft will fit the df-02
im almost certain

@ Zeffle
There is no real Turn rating for the MM5700. But if you where to compare it to an Novak it comes out somewhere between the 8.5 and 7.5.
The Novak 8.5 is 5000Kv and the 7.5 is 5800Kv. The MM is 5700Kv, so the closest I would hazard a guess is 7.5 T's.

@Gravel Hound
I am still running with my original gears, although they are starting to look a little worse for wear. Still, not bad service from them at all. Remember, I really ride the DF02 hard. Much more so than any of my other cars with the possible exeption of the Sportswerks. Just one thing to be carefull of.... Avoid full throttle landings as there is no way to install an slipper in this chassis.
I can honestly say that the MM5700 runs fantastically in the DF02. That said, I am waiting for a Novak XBR 8.5 system to replace the Mamba. You might consider that as an alternative option. Using the $35 dollar coupon from Tower It cost me about $7 more for an XBR, Pit Stand and Camber gauge than what I would have paid for another MM5700 from BPP. Check it out.
Either way, Novak or MM5700. The DF02 can take a lot more abuse that I ever thought possible!!
