Default Swami's 60mph Club (Are We Next)

Ok Ive been thinking about this alot over the weekend and Ive come to a conclusion that if my friend lets me make a setup on his pede that will do 50mph or more Ill be very happy with it.

The Setup
ESC- Mamba Max
Motor- Feigao 8XL
Batteries- 12 cells IB4200's
Gearing (32p)- 19/60

Im hoping to be getting some really high speeds with this test but until then he going to have to practice from flipping because flipping at 50-60mph will have a bad outcome.

Tell me what kind of speeds We'll be likely hitting.

Thanks

I would run the 2 extra cells. maybe get a voltage regulator to go to the bec. so you wont have to have a RX pack.

I think if we do this Im gonna have to use a rx pack just because of budget issues.

Remember to turn steering expo really far down, lower the truck as much as possible, and get weight down as far as possible. You could do one pack in the tray and one pack ziptied under the car for weight and if you wanted to you could run links for the front shocks.

I will be Putting one battery in the tray and one velcrowed to the bottom. If this does go threw he'll probably lower it. He will if he wants to turn down the d/r.

Oh and if he doesnt want to do this test then my brother would probably more than happy to do it. Doing this on the rustler would make me feel more safe because its lower.

Doesnt the feigao have a 5mm shaft? Have you found a 48 pitch gear that will work on that motor and sink up to the spur gear? I have been wanting to try my feigao 8l motor but havent found one? thanks.

What tire's are you planning to use?

I would LOVE to see a pede go that fast!

Would a Mamba max/lehner basics 5300 work as a set-up?

I think he plans on using Masher 2000's in the rear and claw dawgs up front for good speed.
As for the Mamaba Max/Lehner 5300. It will work fine. My brother's been using a Mamba Max/Feigao 380c 6l and it screams!

I think that he'll upgrade to 32p just for his upcoming brushless system but Im not 100% sure. If he does then Ill have him use my 19t 32p 5mm pinion.

Thanks Takedown!

I read on Swami's site that the Lehner can be geared higher and runs cooler. I guess thats a set-up I'll get when i get a sensorless. I know it's more expensive.

Goodluck!

you forgot an option in the poll, 0mph. with the 8XL and 12 cells the weight will bottom out the truck. the 8XL is too much weight for the truck, I would suggest the stampede wheelie bar just to have a chance of pulling it off. What mods do you have in the tranny and driveline?

Hes already got super hard springs on the front and back with 60w shocks oil. He also has a swami-bar wheely bar just incase it wheelies to much. "which I already know it will" As for the tranny, Hes got an aluminum idler already, He'll probably have to borrow my brothers 32p 19/60 rc10gt setup to be able to hold up to the 8xl major torque.

Me and PB have already done a 12cell Brushed EVX/SG12t and we hit low 40's at least with that setup but burnt the motor out in no time at all. (It was fun while it lasted)
