About unitedhobbies.com... don't forget they are based in Hong Kong... so you'll have to wait a good 30 days before you get your motor for that low price..... Unless you pay $25+ for express 7-day shipping... Still not a bad deal, especially if you order more than one motor and keep the total weight of your order under a certain limit you get the flat $25+ shipping deal. Only problem is their 8-9XL have been on back order since I've seen 3 weeks now... hence I linked you to offshore's website since it was the next best deal.

I'm glad someone else agrees with me about the 9L vs. XL motors.... I have the 9L and I DO wish I had spent the money on the 7-8XL motor and $12 5mm bore pinion.. Oh well maybe my next order will be the 7XL.... The 9L ain't so bad in my Rusty (geared high a la VXL).

does anyone have a system or components that they would trade for either a xl-5 rustler, a loaded ps2 or a .27 nitro engine with 1/2 gall through it?

I think the plastic will hold up but I would have gone with aluminum because it would help disipate heat.

what kind of price could you give me for the .27 and its pipe? I might consider buying.

You don't need dual 700's.. one should be fine, running on 12 to 14 cells, considering your buggy is lighter than an E-maxx...which means you can use a regular low turn capable ESC.

Run it on 14 cells or 4s lipo and that should be enough.

Its going to fly if its only 7lbs with everything in it. What ESC do you plan on using?
