Would this be difficult?
http://www2.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXGA83&P=ML
Im considering getting that as my first real RC assembly kit, would it be too much for a first timer? I mean I upgrade and modify my other vehicles all the time, I've just never built one from scratch.

tamiya kits are very beginner friendly. manuals show everything step by step and there are drawings for every step so you will know parts go and how how your car is suppose to be looking at that step.

Yeah, Tamiya kits have good instructions. You shouldn't have any problems. I built my first RC fro ma Tamiya kit, and it was fine. Have fun!

Read the directions first so you can plan for what you are going to need. *****Make sure you have everything you need before you start!***** Take your time, clean (smooth edges from the tree) well, follow the directions, don't try to skip steps! When in doubt, creat a thread!
My first kit was an Associated RC10 Stealth (1991 or 1992). I was 16 or 17, and it was beautiful, well without the body.
Thanks & be good!

Thanks for the input, I think I'll give it a shot.
The only part I know I cant do well is painting, so I'll likely do a simple 1 or 2 color scheme.

I was 13 when i first got my rising storm (same as gravel hound but different body shell) i had never built an rc in my life but with a little help from my dad it want smoothly. The painting is easy as long as you dont rush. If you havent yet seen the rising storm, look for it as many prefer the style of the body (including me).

I love mine! Painting is not to hard, as long as you take your time. Set all the window stickers in the correctly and tape of nicely.
