Well for a fast setup, if you can get 3s lipos, get the Mamba Max 5700 system.
If you want to stick with 6-cell nimh Ib4200s or 2s lipo, get the Novak GTB + 3.5R motor.
And a light-weight chassis (2wd buggy, 4wd touring car, etc).

You'll want Deans connectors for the ESC, and for the batteries if they don't come with them.
