Default Steel or Aluminum

Hi, i finally stripped my ider gear in my rusty and i wanted to know what would be a better choice, the steel idler or the aluminum one?

Steel last longer, aluminum gears with wear and the teeth sharpen overtime and for 8 bucks less, the steel one is the one to buy.

Yea I believe the idea behind the aluminum one is that it's lighter and should in theory make the car/truck faster. However you really won't notice much if any difference so go with the steel one.

Exacty. The small size of the gear to begin with really won't let you take advantage of the lightweight aluminum. Steel.

(..quietly shoves Rustler alu. idler underneath carpet...).
