Default quick question...Help!

hi can i use the original electric rustler ESC and use it one my tt-01 motor? is this ESC comaptbale with the tamiya motor? i dont wanna fry anything...thanks

if it's the stock TT-01 motor, than yes. The XL-5 (rustler esc) is rated for a lower turn than the stock Tamiya TEU101 is. Do you have the XL-5 or the XL-1 (XL-5 is yellow with black fins)

i have the old original one....its the one that has blue fins and the ESC is like 2" by 3"

That's the XL-1. It can be used in just about any 1/10 scale vehicle that uses a single motor. So yes it can be used in your TT01, however it depends on which motor you're using. The XL-1 is rated to be used with 17 turn motors or higher.

If you're using the stock silver can motor you'll be fine.

okay thanks u bunch. do you think i can use the stock ESC for like modiefied ( or just any aftermarket performance) motors?

The XL-1 is rated for motors 17 turns and up so before you buy one just make sure it's 17+ turns. The ESC that comes with the TT01 is rated for 23t and up although may people use down to 19t motors in it without a problem.
