also would the xxxs be a good start for a top speed car? Have a chance to pick one up... and thinking about going for a speed project.... instead of top speed monster truck. I think it would be easier in a light car...

for all your losi needs there is no better site than www.losipartshouse.com , cheaper than horizon and cheaper and faster shipping, very pleasing buying experience with them too and great customer service.

RE: Where to buy xxxs parts...
I 2nd the losipartshouse.com site. They also have a ton of graphite upgrades for the car if you go that route.
I have the xxxs and I think it's a great car if you are not going to run on a groomed surface (sealed belt)
I am running a Novak 4.5r system (18/88 gearing right now, runs very cool - might try gearing up to 20/88) with a TeamOrion 4800 2S LiPo.
Depending on the surface you are running, foams are a requirement to get this car to really stick - the stock tires will wear out in no time with the stock motor. Someone recommended 45 shore rear and 42 shore front so I go a set of NitroShoes and they are running great - still on the first pair.
